  • So, i've quite literally had a pain in the neck for the last 2 weeks - felt a twang when I was on the shoulder press - not good! and its been hurting round my shoulder and down my arm pretty much since then so I went to the docs who said looks like a trapped nerve go see a chyropractor, which ive done today and yes ive got a trapped C5 nerve in my neck! So £62, a quick massage and some deep heat later, it is feeling a little easier.

He has suggested 6 sssions should do it, £26 each. Fortunately im in a health plan so I can claim 75% back and i will fund the rest, about £50 from our weekly budgets.

Good news, ive renewed my car ins & car tax - paid in full from car fund, also plan to pay for TV licence in full on 1st then car has just got to get through MOT - ive got £150 left in budget and I know it needs at least 1 new tyre and some wiper blades! wish me luck cgx

Budgets are looking good - sorry about the neck pain, it can be miserable, I know, but good to see that you can get it sorted without costing you a huge amount.

A little conundrum. OH has been going on about upgrading sky+ to sky HD since last xmas when we got a new TV, i've resisted saying its not worth £10 extra per month but existing sky+ box is playing up and is going to cost £65 to replace. Theres a good offer on quidco free HD box and installation and cashback

So, what I am interested in is the current sky account is in my name. If I were to cancel my subscription and wait a day or 2 then order sky hd via quidco in OH name would that be OK do you think? Would it track as a new customer and be eligible for the offer?

I am not interested in swithching to BT vision or freeview - all been discounted by OH - but any other advice welcome cgx

Dont think you can do that, we tried and then waited until we moved house as sky is under the address i think, I phone sky the other day and said i am thinking of reducing our package and they knock 25% straight away might be worth seeing if you can get a deal first.
Good luck let us know how you get on.

Hi Herewego, thanks for your advice. Ive not done anything about it yet - still putting it off! . I will have another look on website and if I can get a freebox by upgrading I might settle for that.

I am still seeing the chyropractor its £28 for a 15 min torture session! I am covered in bruises but I have more movement in my arm but its still not right yet. Im planning on going swimming this weekend so will see how i go on.

Car had MOT today £149.04! a new tyre and a track rod end?? so just inside my £150 budget, its booked in for a service at the end of the month but I can pay for that from next months car fund and hopefully thats car expenses done with till next Feb when OH car insurance is due.

Got 2 MS tomorrow and 2 more for later in October, so looking good there and ... I leave work in 2 weeks time!!!!! woop woop! cgx
