Switch? Anyone on scottish power fixed price energy online 2011?

It won't make any difference with the fixed 2011 as that is exactly what it is-a fixed rate. Even if the prices drop this one won't. It is different to a capped rate which means it wouldn't go any higher than the capped rate, but the rates can drop if the prices go down.
I am interested though how the same tariff can have an exit fee on some and not others. Mine has a £50 (I think) exit fee, yet others are saying they don't have one. I wonder if this is dependent on area.0 -
I'm thinking of switching to try and get a longer term fixed rate deal rather than waiting until Feb 2011 when options may not be as good.
I switched in June 2008 - don't know if there was any change in application of exit fees during the time that the offer was available.0 -

There was a change to the offer. I think it became too popular and they had to add an exit fee.0 -
I am probably being a mug but I am also on this tarriff but cant find it in the selection offered for "current priceplan" when I want to compare on Uswitch.
Can anyone confirm what its full title is on the uswitch price plan ?0 -
Yeah, I couldn't find it on there. It is on http://www.whichswitch.co.uk/ though.
I still haven't decided what to do yet. I'm tempted to go non-fixed with Npower, but am put off a bit by their poor reputation.
I'm sure as can be that there's no early-cancellation fee, although will probably give them a call first if I decide to switch just to confirm this.Nice to save.0 -
Well I've had another trawl through the switch sites and have made a switch from Scottish Power fixed to 2011 to Atlantic Energy's online fixed till March 2011 rate.
I didn't want to give up a fixed price, but this is a very slightly longer fix which will save me over £100 on my Economy 7 rate, so I can't lose.
I am giving up the Scottish Power no exit fee, to the Atlantic exit fee of £75 to August then £35 until March, but I'm content with this.0 -
Does anyone know if there's a way of telling if you have an exit fee or not without phoning them? I've looked on my online account but can't see anything. If not, I'll phone them when they're open again tomorrow.
Thank you.0 -
Have a look at their web site - do a search for the tariff name, it might bring up a T&Cs document?
Worth a shot!

I am on Scottish Power Fixed Price Standing charge feb 2011.
Have phoned SP and they wont let me switch to online 9.
So i am changing to eon Fix online v6,this will save me £70 a year and £70 cashback on Quidco or Topcashback.
Can`t understand these energy suppliers losing customers because they wont switch plans.Stuff them.
Same here. I'm in the process of switching to EON fixonline 6. It should save me £300 a year and my £70 topcashback has tracked too.0 -

There was no exit fee with the fixed price online tariff Feb 2011. I've still got the T&C's somewhere if you need them.0
