I had not thought about the fact of supporting the children during illness also, good point regarding that.
@diane1961 that's for advice that solicitor sometimes give an hour free, that will help alot as to be honest we both are not sure what is needed and what to do, hence asking here. Money obviously is short (why would I be writing in MSE otherwise lol) and so the possibility of having the chat to for free will be invaluable.

I hope it can be sorted as then I know that my family will be more secure (both in terms of PR, but also financially) especially with points raised like the fact that my son is not blood related, so does not inherit in the case of me dieing.
Solicitors here we come. Just need to think of a list of what we need to cover. Seems to me the following so far

My Pension / salary / house in case of death / disability etc.
My fiancee's pension before she gave up work to be full time great mum
    PR for me to son
    Inheritance
Factor in getting married, so that it is not null afterwards. (don't fancy paying a solicitor 2x to just redo it in 6 months time)

Oh, slightly shorter than I thought, well it's a start. Wish us luck :)
