  • We as users are not voting for the POTM but nominating a post/poster.
No, we're not. According to the guidelines at the top of the thread, we're voting for one post. However, this hasn't always been what happens in reality, as the Roll of Honour shows.

A poster of the month award seems the best option all around.
As time goes on, I tend to prefer this option!

By the way, Edinburghlass, not all my posts are in the Pigsback threads. I have posted elsewhere too, but much less frequently. However, I do occasionally read other threads, especially Grabbit and Shop But Don't Drop, plus Freebies. I dipped into the Arms the other night, and read Consumables ... etc., etc. (Quoting a favourite poster of mine, "yawn" ...) :)

None of this has any bearing on how the POTM is chosen, though.
I'm not just talking about my wife, I'm talking about my LIFE, and I'm not just talking about MY life, I'm talking about everybody's life. I'm talking about form. I'm talking about content, I'm talking about interrelationships. I'm talking about God, the devil, Heaven, Hell. Do you understand...FINALLY?

If you look at the Roll of Honour you'll find that its probably about 50/50 between a post of the month and a poster(s) of the month :)
Very interesting thread, thanks... didnt know it was there
  • Morning everyone :)

There's some really good points on here and thanks to everyone for their thoughts. It's impossible to give you criterion on how post of the month is judged simply because, as someone said earlier, and you can see from previous months, the types of contributions being nominated can be so different from month to month.

I think, though, some people are missing the point. This thread isn't just about the winner. The fact that someone's contribution to the forum has even been pointed out on this thread is a great achievement and anyone that's even been nominated on this thread should be very chuffed.

Now, how about we congratulate Wirehair for what was a really good MoneySaving post?

    Andrea :)

I did! And it was! And I said so! ;):)

"The thread isn't just about the winner." OK. What does that change?

No, don't answer that! :) I think I need to talk about something else! Thanks to all for their discussion points.
