You'll be fine, so long as you reheat the chicken right through until it's piping hot.
If they're in the pot that they were cooked in and kept in the oven, should be okay. The heat of the oven will have killed off any food poisoning bugs when it was cooking, and provided that you've not re-introduced any contamination as well as reheating it thoroughly.

that's what I thought was better too ... I usually either:- cook the night before, leave to cool overnight, then refridgerate in the morning, ready for a fast reheat, or
- prep the night before (often with frozen meat), fridge overnight, and then bung into cold oven in the morning with the timer on.

You should allow the dish to cool as rapidly as possible then refigerate. This does not mean over night: -

in the end, OH looked at it and I explain the situation ... he had a poke about and decided not to risk it.
hating the waste (food, time, effort) but it was the safest thing to do0 -

I'm always happy to use mine up to eight days after (if cooked on a Sunday then the following Monday) but I do check it smells OK first.
I've never had food poisoning.
