In my slow cooker today.... part 2

I bought a timer plug from Poundland, and plug the slow cooker in to that, so that it comes on about 12 o'clock - I find that with it on low, that gives about perfect results for most dishes0

I put mine on first thing with 6 tins of toms, 8 carrots chopped, a whole head of celery, 4 leeks, a big shake of Italian herbs, 2 beef stock cubes, a sprinkle of paprika and a heaped spoon of sugar (takes away the tinny flavour of the toms). Left it on high for 5 hours to bubble away. Have just blitzed down some of the yummy sauce and added to mince for tonights lasagne, the rest will be frozen in batches."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

I don't pre-cook ingredients to go in the slow cooker. Everything gets thrown in and left to make a party
I can't be doing with extra work and dishes

I have some belly pork in the freezer and wondered what it would be like in the slow cooker as I usually do mine in the over, for about three hours because I like the fat to be crispy.
Can you let me know, how it turns out and how you did it please.
I've cooked belly pork in the sc before, I take the fat/skin off once it's cooked and blast it in the oven to crisp it - mostly this worksPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

That's an idea and probably doesn't take long, probably could be grilled too."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Black pudding, mmmmmm, that's a really good idea, have never done that before but I bet it's great :-)
Pretty much same as mine but had chuck steak as it was on offer, onions, carrots, celery, mushrooms, frozen peas, frozen green beans, frozen baby broad beans, potatoes. Had run out of pearl barley so chucked in a couple of handfuls of red lentils as well. Stock cube to cook and gravy at end. Made loads.
Will be trying that black pudding soon..... Am usually only allowed this on special occasions by the better half and then it's rationed so struggle to use it up0 -
pork and cider casserole in mine today, i gently fried 4 onions, half tub of mushrooms, 8 chopped carrots, 3 handfulls of red lentils, then popped in half pint chicken stock, chucked it in sc, then sealed my pork bits before popping them in sc, with bottle of cider and a load of dried herbs, served with roast pots and runner beans. One day I will live in a cabin in the woods0

Carrot & coriander soup in mine today. An onion (didn't fry it first), about 8 carrots, some dried stock powder, and about 2 pints of water. Cooked on high till carrots were soft, blended, checked seasoning, added a huge bunch of fresh coriander, and blended again. DH went wild for it with toasted homemade bread."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000
