Hi,
Wll yesterday I did a Greek Lamb Dish the recipe I stole from this thread. It was tasty but the lamb I obviously cut too small and had almost vanished..!
Today I have 2 chicken breasts cut into chunks, thick sliced mushrooms, an onion, a bit of stock and a tin of mushroom soup that's been hanging around my cupboards for too long.. It smells very nice, so we'll wait and see...

I am cooking a chunky Minestrone Soup in my SC today. Hubby had 3 teeth out yesterday so want something he doesn't have to chew tonight. I got it out of the March Good to Know Recipe Mag. I am trying to meal plan properly for the first time and they have a section that gives you 28 seasonal money saving recipes. Ok we won't eat all the recipes they list, but helps me experiment and stops the plan getting boring.Donna

In my slow cooker today I have some stewing steak which I rubbed in plenty of garlic, salt, pepper, paprika and a quick shake of schwartz "season all" Then I mixed together a good dollop of bbq sauce, some ketchup and a sprinkle of worcestershire sauce and poured it over the beef. I'll shred the meat when its done (been in since 8am this morning!) and we'll have it in wraps or pitta bread tonight with lettuce, onions, cucumber and maybe some grated cheese.0

Im doing chicken tikka masala..with hm naan bread. Its only the second thing Ive tried so hopefully it will be edible.
Ive bulked it out with some grated carrot and some bendy celery from the fridge so I have plenty left to freeze. Also have lots of leg and thigh bones left for the dogs dinners!!:)0 -
I just bought a slow cooker today, 3.5 litre cookworks one form argos for £12.99. I'll see what damage I can do with it!! Although, having said that, my freezer is quite full at the moment, so it may be a few days before I get around to trying it. I'd like to try a curry, but I don't have the ingredients at the moment.0

Chunky Minestrone Soup - made and consumed. Hubby and I loved it. Yummy :T Yummy. DD1 doesn't really like pasta so she declined and DD2 happily ate it all except the cannellini beans and celery. She even at the parsnip and she doesn't like parsnips.Donna
