Is anyone else having the same slowdowns as me? I have actually been playing solitaire in the background waiting for pages to load :rolleyes:

It has been really slow all day for me, anyone else?

One min its slow but not bad, next minute its talking minutes to load a page :rolleyes:

I think we need to put a petition forward to stop this email, or at least buy some better equipment

Very slow for me when I logged in a short while ago, now a bit faster but still annoying. Oh well, I suppose I'll play of cards...:rolleyes:

Probably down to a few things. High demand being one of them, plus the pages returned are quite bloated. For example this page alone is about 300kb which is quite a lot for a web page (some of it will be cached by your browser though).

Hopefully the re-design will reduce bloat and make the site more efficient. At work we always try to keep total page loads to ideally around 70-150kb. As a comparison the homepage of Amazon is only around 180kb, and they'll have a whole farm of servers.
