Hi , sorry been for a medicinal ok re;- userChrome.css ok I will try and put it below but as I still cannot :spam: ie type in the contents of the file cos they have http in them they are as follows --- two lines (and importantly they need to be plain text ...i use Vim as a text editor) oh-oh now it lets me to type in
line 1 contains -
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* set default namespace to XUL */
line 2 contains -
#sidebar {min-width: 0px !important; max-width: none !important;}
save these two lines as userChrome.css in the directory where your FF profile is eg in Win7 it is
\users\Rob\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\"default.vmd"\chrome
Now restart FF and lo you can then minimise the sidebar to 0 pixels. This applies to all sidebars so if you swap Bookmarks to History it also minimises that
