yes, I have the bookmarks bar visible and for the most part, would always have it (but by choice), it's just the favicons I want to see.

Oh, and I've got rid of the all-in-one-sidebar

the smart bookmarks bar failed to work, any idea's?

Favicons are automatically displayed in the Bookmarks Sidebar (Ctrl + b)

Right click favicon name/properties/delete name/save

That worked when placing the bookmarks in the bookmark bar along the top,but now I have them displayed in the side bar, when I do as you suggest, there is no description to delete as it went earler.

I have not be able to establish how to reduce/remove the urls/descriptions after the Favicons on the Sidebar Bookmark/Favourite list in Firefox.


In Int/Ex, there is the facility to Rename, which requires just one press of a comma/fullstop/letter/number, just something. By doing this the coloum is reduced dramatically, which is what I want in Firefox.
