I've done it all for Monday! (So long as checking on stocks of the emergency items rather than putting them all in one place counts).

It's good to be back on course. I turned the heating off while it was only me left in the house today and I had to strip off two jumpers after doing the hoovering and shifting the sofas!

Tomorrow's will be a challenge for me but I'm looking forward to it!

Evening all  was going to fly tonight.. but then my electricity went! Must have 'heard' about the emergency box :rotfl: Oh well, sorted... but must do that for next emergency!

Quick tip.... I contacted my local fire brigade service and they do a house / flat fire assessment for free. Two lovely chaps came and inspected the property, told me off about cables and mess :o:o but also fitted for FREE two smoke alarms with lights that don't need batteries changing and talked me through the suspected fire proceedure. I thoroughly recommend it :)

Um.. is that a good enough excuse not to fly today? :p

I haven't done any flying... I've been trying to work (difficult without a laptop - it was picked up today and should be back tomorrow... bet it won't be though!). Woodburner is currently on a diet of smokeless fuel. It got very hot this afternoon, and now I think I've cooled it down too much, but want to try to keep it going overnight again as it keeps the core of the house warm. Every time I open it I can hear collared doves gossiping, so they're obviously hanging out round the chimney to keep warm!
The one problem with the stove is the amount of dust it creates from the ash...

I think you've hit the nail on the head... the problem is people like the thread because it's friendly, but then comment that they can't keep up because of the number of posts, which then makes people worry about posts.

I think if we're all sensible and mostly post flying-related posts, edit or delete if we want to correct a post rather than posting the corrections separately, and PM people if we want to ask a specific person a specific non-flying-related question, it should be OK. Unfortunately what attracts some people puts others off.

Most importantly - if people want stars they need to shout about their achievements so that toots/soappie know that they need them. There is no place for modesty on this thread - being proud of your achievements and feeling good about yourself is what we're about.

Right... must get back to this presentation... dull as it is, it needs writing...

DS and DD are in nursery/school respectively tomorrow and I'll have the whole house to myself from 9-4 :j.

Toots, don't be hard on yourself - you have every right to speak your mind and don't worry about people finding it funny on other boards. It'll all calm down again I'm sure. I'm going to give it another go tomorrow.

OK, off to bed (after I've set DW, WM, let the dog out for last pee, got my clothes out for tomorrow etc ............)

    Goodnight

I like the idea of.. so long as something in the post is flying related you can waffle all you like.. I however am the exception (along with a couple of other sicknotes) who are exempt..

Thanks piggers I'm taking that as my permission to post :p:D

Just wanted to put in my tuppence worth......I have said it so many times (you will all be sick of me :p) but the love & support on this thread is second to none.....& I would hate to lose that....I appreciate it is off-putting for newbies....but as pigpen & others have said...once the New Year flurry is over it will all even itself out again.....so I guess we all have to be patient.....too much chat & it is very difficult to keep up....even for me who does nothing :o & it makes it very hard for toots or soappie to see who needs stars.....but without some chat & certain personalities :p it risks losing it's charm.......on that note I will shut up before I get thrown off :D

    AnW's Big hugs honey....xx

toots Never apologize...we love you as you are xx

    Flying......decluttered some chocolate ;)

    Good night All xx
