This week has been terrible to do anything though as my beautiful Mum passed away on New Years day after a long battle with cancer.. Has taken the wind from my sails !! Having a little one i just want to try and get into some kind of routine again.. The last few months have been very hit and miss ..

You have my sympathies. We lost my M-I-L in September. It was expected too, but no matter how much you are expecting it, you are never quite prepared when it happens.

Welcome to the thread anyway - the people here are fantastic and will soon have you on track regards the cleaning - and the support is amazing, even if not related to housework!

Today I'm starting my actual diet to shift the half stone I put on over christmas and a few extra! So it's a case of three healthy meals and an hour of my davina dvd today (which I actually love to do)

My aim for January is to declutter a draw shelf or cupboard a day so organise bookshelf will tick that off for today woo!

    Excercise: 1/4
    Draws cleared in Jan: 3

Happy New Year! Owing to festivities, job applications, interviews and children and OH hanging round the house in the snow I've been off the Flylady radar for 3 or 4 weeks and am seriously looking forward to getting back into it today.

I'm very happy to see it's the lounge, hall and stairs day as that's looking relatively OK - other than the invisible cubby-corner! The whole list, extras included, looks pretty achieveable.

    Good luck all.

    Morning all,

    Happy Birthday Rach .
Last night OH wanted to start my car to make sure it was ok due to not being used for a while. I said no it'll be ok ( i didn't want to stand outside in the cold with him:rolleyes:). I went to take the kids to school and the car wouldn't start. The boys have walked the almost 2 miles , i went to the bus stop with Ds2 but there was no timetable. Then it started snowing so i thought for the sake of 2 hours in nursery it's not worth the hassle. If the snow gets worse then the buses won't run. I don't mind walking but it would take forever with Ds2. OH is going to have a field day with i told you so's, i'm not going to hear the end of it. Ds1 has lost his phone so i've just said if i'm not there at home time to walk home.

So far this morning i have

    Made beds
    Fed rabbits

    HHC at 9.30 anyone?
