Only one I would have worn would have been "My bump - hand off" or words to that effect... the amount of people - total strangers - who'd come up and touch my bump was amazing - I think they took one look at me though and ran away ;) I hated it!

  • OK so I'm not pregnant but, I do like slogan tops, although I am quite picky, nothing rude or suggestive, but the funnier the better! So I guess it just depends on the person!

I've had a little look around - God there's some carp out there!! I really do hope no-one would order the top I've just seen saying "the condom split" or "hot pregnant chick" or even "sex is fun and I got pregnant". http://www.thematernitybarn.co.uk/black-n-bold1.asp?shirttype=bbls

And I've just seen !!!!!! and Yummy Mummy - UGH!!!

I'm another one who is not into slogan tops but the ETA idea isn't too bad - or something saying Double Trouble.

What about 2 pairs of footprints or 2 hearts or something along those lines?

Well slap me down with a copy of Vogue i wore slogan tshirts they are a bit of fun. I had mind the bump and miracle in the making. Even if she wont wear them out she could wear them as PJ tops and im sure she would appreciate the thought that went into the gift.

Not sure i would wear it but this one made me laugh “I doubt this is the threesome my husband had in mind”
:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j
  • I agree with hands off messages! Nothing worse than everyone thinking because your pregnant they can touch your belly willy nilly! If it was me I think i'd be going for "I don't touch your belly, Please don't touch mine!" :)
  • Two pairs of footprints or handprints is a lovely idea.

I wouldn't wear a slogan top either, but I think it is lovely that you are doing something so personal for your friend :A

    Oh don't get me wrong - I love slogan t-shirts :) We have quite a collection ;)
My fave actually says "WARNING! This t-shirt may contain boobs!" (I'm a 32H :rotfl: ) Hubbies fave is "My ricecrispies told me to do it" - the next one on the list I think is "You're just jealous because the little voices are talking to me!"

  • i love a good slogan too...i have quite a few t shirts with them on but just have something against the cutesy maternity ones for some reason, no idea why!!
  • I only had one slogan maternity top which said 'precious cargo' and i bought it to give people the hint I was pregnant and not just fat as no one ever gave up a seat on a bus for me or made any allowances even though i had this huge belly - so sometimes slogans can work!
And if you get soemthing really witty and special she can keep it for them in a memory box or something like that?

I'm the other way round - can't flippin stand them but don't think maternity ones are as bad (apart from the vile ones I mentioned above!).

That's quite sweet (the slogan, not the lack of standing up for you!)

It would be a nice keepsake - twins don't come around every day do they?
