  • As of today for the next 3 weeks I have aquired an extra cat. My dad's gone on holiday so I'm cat sitting. Poor little thing is really timid and currently hiding but thankfully Sh*thead is keeping his distance at the mo. Hopefully she'll relax soon!
Hope everyone's having a nice weekend!

  • Oh and on the job front I've started looking for something else and I'm going to start doing my CV. As much as it might be too early I think I need to be prepared really and start putting my ear to the ground. Can't afford to risk going on benefits again...

Good idea to start updating your CV and looking around now. It always seems to take longer than you expect (maybe that's just me ) so starting now gives you plenty of time and will hopefully avoid a last minute panic.

Are you just looking for jobs with the CAB or elsewhere too?

If I didn't thank you before, Sar, Thanks a lot for putting DDs mind at rest about the Maternity Allowance etc. She's feeling a lot better about everything at the moment.
Shes had to come up from the 'nothing will ever work and we'll never find our own place' baseline...and her BF has to come down from the 'we can buy our own place' cloud.....when they meet in the middle, they'll find somewhere to live!

Keep your CV to ONE page ! Good luck with the Jobsearch. Pepe x

Only one page??? I've managed to be good and not put in anything irrelevant and I'm still left with 2.... :rotfl:
I'm glad your daughter's feeling better and they're being a bit more realistic :D

One page is definitely best IA, but if you are applying for places that may not be getting hundreds of applicants 2 should be OK. The worst one I saw when I was in the position to be interviewing was 5 pages long......bin!

Well the first page is my profile and what my current job is and it's description, which is relevant if I'm applying for debt caseworker jobs.. the 2nd page is personal statement and qualifications! Haven't even put references on!

Sounds OK then IA, dont be too florid with the Profile! Dont put references on a CV. State that 'References are readily available should they be required'.
