Okay. Enough of the pity party. Here is Miss Whiplash to give you a talking to.
- It's only Jan 15th
- If you decide you'll fail then you will
- If the listings haven't finished yet, wait and see. If they don't sell, relist and they may sell second time round. Or keep them to relist later
- You can't make people buy your items
- When thinking of buying to resell, do your research for a guide to what similar items sell for. Remember, this is not guaranteed
- Finding out what doesn't work can be just as valuable
- Keep trying, but know when to stop and move on
- Try something else
- Always do your research

Sorry guys,
I give up with this challenge.
I can't do it. I'm spending money on things that won't sell. I'm stuck witht hem and can't think or find things that would sell or anything. It just a disaster.
Everything I sold on ebay the profit was eaten up by postage and fees.
Everything is just gone to dust0 -

I did do my research, and the completed listings showed they were selling for £3.99 each.
The point is I have sold over £70 worth of stuff yet why am I still in negative?Live for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0 -

But, am I the only one who has an unsupportive OH. I just find that I am although being positive - but I am a realist. I don't believe in magical thinking and I know that my PMA has to be backed up with action.
But, the other half seems intent on peeing on my parade. Shooting down, any ideas that I have. I know that I can do well - but, sometimes it is really hard deflecting the negativity.
Just glad that I have support on this threadIt really is helping.
another sale on ebay while sleeping last night - loving it! (the only way i'll ever make money lyiing on my back!!!!!!), an order for a birthday cake for next week £25- will add next week when i've made it, and also an enquiry for a wedding cake £120-£150 so hopefully that will come off. not sure about the price but thought it was reasonable considering what the shops are charging. must update my signature.
indie- stay with us, it will happen we are only 15 days in and we will all support you in any way we can, p.m. me if you want a buddy to bounce ideas off - i'll only be too happy to help and give you my honest opinion.

well indie well done on the £70 worth of sales, I have so far made £18.34 (after fees ) from 1 sale, lol, and i am in the negative, as my outlay has been £100. I am now hoping all new items will be found for me (like my mums clothing or things from my house) or my retail stuff will sell. realistically now, i am thinking i may just list some 99p items on ebay (as free listing) and wait til end of month to list my retail items and others. i really don't feel there are many people shopping right now.
and remember with the sims, how many people have been given a new phone for xmas? all phones seem to want you to top £10 when purchasing, so perhaps next month when credit has run out, your cards will sell? Thanks to all who post comps :T0 -
I don't know, but I have mounting debts. I think that is perhaps making me want to "get rich quick" if you will.Live for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0

A friend has offered to make me a full e-commerce website, with a checkout and everything, all I need to do is pay for a domain name and find something to sell. But the question is what? My hobbies are fishing, arts and crafts, but arts and crafts are so expensive, and I aint even sure what i could make.
Can anybody help or make any suggestions?Live for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0 -
Don't give up indie. I am not having too much luck yet either on ebay or amazon but everyone is still getting over Christmas and do not get paid again until the end of January.Jan £10 a day £326.75/£3100

Indierocker85, maybe buying to sell isn't for you - maybe think about the other ways to make money, ie selling services like teaching, cleaning, car washing, accountancy... whatever you do best! Don't give up so quickly - i have 100 pairs of googly eyes i could sell to you for a tenner - you might be able to make better use of them than i haveJust £10,852.28p to go...
Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
And then do it.0
