  • Just caught up on the last 10 pages since last night!

Haven't made any money again today, but my items that I won on Ebay (thanks to fat fingers) turned up today so will be selling them on shortly, and I won another item today that I think I can double my money on (fat fingers again)!

My welcome pack arrived from Music Magpie so got my first batch of CDs ready to send to them tomorrow.

Got another bid on one of my Ebay items and still loads of watchers, so fingers crossed.

Hi all, 8 items went up on Ebay today. I made a decision that probably isn't the most financially sensible, but I feel lightened having made it. I have an extensive comic collection worth in excess of £3k, my ex used to collect comics, and also he'd buy bulk lots of them, split them down and resell on Ebay. There is a real market out there for both the traditional spiderman stuff but also the modern y the last man, spawn, 100 bullets stuff. He didn't work, just would sell comics whenever he was running low! I have a couple of hundred of these I can't bear to look at as he was a very violent man and I have nothing but bad memories of that time in my life. I have been keeping them as a long term investment, but today I made the decision to just get shot of them.

So I've stuck them up in a few big lots on ebay, have about another 4 lots to stick up tomorrow (inclding one of only first editions I should get a few £100 for at least), and while I know its mad to sell £1000 of comics for £20, the piece of mind its giving me to be rid of the last trace of him is worth it to me. Plus it'll be £20 in the pot! Only been up 2 hours and already got a few watchers which is good.

On the creative thing, I do custom paintings, and also prints of my paintings on etsy, which sell okay. Etsy is very competative, so you do need to put time into it to get your stuff noticed. I have also just opened a photograph store on there but there are so, so many photographers on there the market is saturated so I only really sell these at craft fairs. Io have my own website (in profile) but its not even finished, which is something I really should get around to doing!

my stuff isn't moving on ebay, might be better of waiting til end of motnh, but gonna list my retail items as BIN when all finished and see how that goes. I think i found you on dooyoo :D so will look at your reviews

Yeah I am on dooyoo under the same username. I now have the same person bidding on 2 of my t-shirts. They are both caption tops, I had another one to sell so listed it with the intention of messaging this user to let them know. Ebay won't let me message them because I have not sold anything to the user yet . A lot of the items I have listed are fixed price or best offer now, because I can leave them on for 30 days. I nearly had a heart attack earlier my wireless hub decided to die but fortunately we had a generic one in the house. Hooked that one up so now I can still list stuff and see who has bid/ bought my items so all is good again ;).

Does anyone know any shops that sell mailing bags?

I use big black rubbish bags that I get for pitance from a wholesale store lol. Takes me a bit more time than bags, but more profit for me.
It'll have to be members only owing to the adult content ... shall I pass you the whip, Mistress Mabel? :D

Pass me the whip lol, I feel like I am on a roll, anything to get to 10k hehe!!

Progress today, bought some perfume online on one of the one day bargin sites here that I can sell for 20$ mark up each, so thats good. And that is undercutting all other sellers online. Even if I halve that for quick return it is easy money!

Am off to charity shop soon and to photocopy garage sale list at library for tomorrow as it is cheaper than buying the paper! :o:p

Dinah93 - There are some lovely images on your web page. Two would be just perfect for Valentine's day. I particularly like the one of the couple just about to kiss.

Well done for making the brave decision to get shot of those comics and 'washing that man right out of your hair'. With a good description, you may get a lot more money than you expect.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
