must admit that made me laugh-although my spelling is good I am terrible at typing so always read back what I have written and use spellcheck for Ebay
Have listed 2 jackets today and also a load of stock that i bought in bulk to sell on. Just wish something would sell :-(

Well I have a big pile of Ebay stuff to sell, this includes two massive velvet curtains I have no idea how to photograph - they look a different colour in every photo! - and I just can't seem to make them look nice.
I have bids on three items and today I found a motorbike jacket for eight quid, nearly new, which I think (hope) will be be worth more than that when I sell it on! Can't stop obsessively checking my 'All Selling', picking up the engraving kit tomorrow, oh and my nice new daylight lamp bulb which will enable me to make stuff, hopefully :)
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Just found some books that www.fatbrain.co.uk would buy from me - offered £1.08 for a book that sells for £12.99 new.

    I think this is poor.

  • anyone had any luck selling books to fatbrain, I have just been through about 200 and they only accepted 5 of the titles, all kinds of books too, came to a £10 offer but as they state has to be £25 is no good to me.....grrrr makes me wonder what kind of books they are buying really.....
As for the competitons mention, I agree that they are worth entering someone has to win and you gotta be in to win, check local newspapers mroe chance of winning cos lower entry rate, and comps where some effort required to enter are also worth doing, ones with tie breakers or where you got to submit photos etc.

Hi everyone, I haven't logged on all day and have just read the 10 pages I've missed! My ebay items are doing well bids and watchers on most. Was going to go to town to hunt round the charity shops today but it was soo icy, decided against risking me and my little boy! Going to visit my in-laws tomorrow who are in the process of clearing out their loft, going to tell them about this and see if any offers come my way! Started a box of car boot stuff as well, do you think it's better to price it or wait for offers? I've always priced in the past as some people don't like asking. Also bought my first mis-spelt item on ebay to re-sell, will let you know how it goes, don't think it will get here by Sunday though.

Think I've got a plan, which if I'm lucky could lead to earning 4 times what I'd pay for it. However its seasonal and I'd have to hold on for a few months before listing. I'm a bit unsure about making the step and buying the items. I need a push I think. I don't want to be left with items I can't bloomin sell, however I've set myself a limit and I won't go over it so hopefully I can't go wrong!! ( famous last words)

In fact I think just writing that down helped

Also side point, I've seen something ( lol secrets secrets!! ha ha) that I could get for around £50-60 on ebay which is listed on Amazon for £400+ which I find hard to believe to be honest. Its extremely niche however it does interest me a great deal. I reckon I'd get around £20-30 profit, but it could take a month or even a year to sell, but then again I was looking so maybe some one else is???? It did have 5 bids, hhhhhhhmmmmmmm

Its hard this money making lark

Apologies for the ramble, but it helps

  • Hang on, brain wave!!

I've got £132 in the bank, £60 to pay in,£41 in the change jar, so £233 all up

HOWEVER I have only spent £10 from my initial £100 so I can purchase the items as long as they are under £90 I don't touch my profits.

evening all, wish i had something positive to report, but things seem to have stopped still. Have used the whole of my £100 now on items etc, so need to sell items before i can re-invest, no sales on ebay, greenmetropolis or gumtree :(. I did have a sale at the very start of the challenge, after fees i had 18.34 (and keeping this in paypal ready to pay fees at end of month just in case i have no furher sales) so still in the red. Have dried up about what to review in dooyoo, i must have things here, waiting for inspiration to hit and i will get typing. i joined onepoll for surveys but no confirmation mail as promised, so no further with trying to build up money there either.

On a brighter note, i have a few cd's that were not saved on ISBN to list on ebay, so figure i might just register with music magpie and get a little of them for them, so will be a start towards my goal.

a little disheartened right now, but tomorrow is always another day full of new opportunites (and a bottle of chilled white in the fridge as it is the weekend)

hope your ventures are proving productive and fruitful xx

hey chin up kosma you've got £100 worth of stock to invest!! It'll start rolling in soon, you're just playing the long game ;)
