I would just like to say a huge thank you to Bingo for starting this thread:T:T

My starting £100 has now been turned into £303 plus some stock to sell on (which I have never tried before) in just one week! Although some of it was some stuff I already had here which I was allegedly 'getting around' to selling on ebay, it had all sat in a corner of the house for about 2 years. Procrastination specialist, that's me!

So thanks for kicking my b*m into gear. A week ago I didn't think I could do this. Now I KNOW I can, as long as I keep it going.

I raided the garage today with a view to gathering things for my carboot. From this, i bagged up three bags of clothes for the charity shop. I found lots of old sentimental belongings that are now scattered around my house to be kept - and ultimately boxed up a grand total of THREE things for the bootsale. Since i've started this thread, my life has become more cluttered and i've got no more money than i had at the start of the year. I'm again feeling pretty useless but remain determined and inspired by all your ideas. Thank you - keep them coming :) I wish i had a few tips to share - maybe in the next few months! Cheers guys xx

  • I've made over £40 profit on Ebay this weekend just from old clothes and junk that was lying around the house which I am really pleased with, bringing my Ebay total this year so far to around £70. Got loads more things to put on though so have been listing all afternoon. This thread has really motivated me into actually doing it rather than thinking about it all the time.

I've traded some CDs on Music Magpie for £5.51 but again, got loads more to sort out. Most of the quotes were between 30p and 50p but they gave me £2.07 for one CD!

Plan for tomorrow - sort out more CDs for MM and sort out old mobile phones to send to envirofone (or whichever company pays the most for them by using the comparison website).

thanks for the link to local bargain finder, thik it will be very useful when i decide to get going on a car boot, i can search locally, loads of things coming up in my area as pick up, for eg, leather headboard 99p, american pool table 99p, i would of thought those kind of things could sell at a profit in a car boot, perhaps even in a classified section?
Thanks to all who post comps :T

  • Out of interest, what is it you've been buying and selling for such a great profit?

indierocker... did you buy the bass guitar and amp afterwards? tried looking for it on ebay, to see what type of condition it was, but couldnt find it..

Carlsbro is mainly known for their amps.... Hubby is a bass player....
