Just been thinking a bit more about the ebay market and so forth, im not really taking part in this challenge so i'll throw out my ideas to everyone else :p

What about aiming for the special dates in the calendars ie: valentines day, mothers/fathers day etc. These will no doubt be at the back of everyones mind at the moment due to xmas just being over but if you can pick up some cheap bargains on the run up they could be a possible profit in the future as the chosen dates get closer and people start looking around for gifts....?

You would have to hold on to your items for a while of course but could be worth it in the long run.

I also noticed the rugby world cup is on this year, maybe something for sports fans to look into, know nothing about it so thats just another thought.

As i said, just some ideas i had floating around in my head, maybe it will be of use to someone :D

I'll post this useful ebay tools site again as it got lost on the previous thread, maybe it can be added to the first post as a link?

Good luck and have fun :)

  • I invested in some bedding in the online sales to take to boot-sales. It arrived Friday and I unpacked and priced it up that evening. 2 friends called yesterday and both bought some! I am now hoping for more visitors!
The best way to escape a problem is to solve it :j
  • yet again i cant remember who posted it but, it was mentioned that there was a section on ebay called wants or wanted items. i cant find it. would anyone be so kind as to direct me to it please?

-hopefully the link works! I got a load of quality toys for £40 off mine because nobody else bid :j
my area's not great because it's quite small but I bet there's loads of decent pickings in a city!
I've sold two comics and something else on Ebay today, woo lol. Also some reviews on DooYoo. I like getting paid for telling others what I think ;)

Can anyone please give me some clue as to the best price for sending a smallish parcel to the USA? A buyer has asked me for an exact postage cost and I'm not impressed with the Royal Mail one. Hoping someone on here has some experience of this :D

That's a dangerous link ... I almost got pulled into buying an air hockey table (reminiscence of youth ;)) ... need to grow up! :rotfl:. Can't help with the postage I am afraid, I am just starting to get my head around current best postage practice again ...

    PLEASE CAN YOU ADD ME

i am trying to raise £5,000 for charity by doing this, The charity i am trying to raise for is PreemiesUK which i run and we knit and crochet for premature babies so all the money we raised will towards postage costs of parcels which we send to Special care baby units throughout the UK and the rest will go on materials we need, Last year i was paying all this out of my own pocket so this year i am trying to fund it by raising much as i can

At the moment i have 53 items on ebay and £29 worth of bids and 61 watchers

    Hi there,
I will sponser you £1.00 for every £100.00 you make.So WHEN (not if) you hit your total that will be £50.00 you can add to it.

    Here's to 2010 :j
