or any ideas on where/how to search for one?
I opened a basic Barclays one for a mystery shop, where they don't do a credit check. They asked me if I wanted the online option and I agreed - I'm going to use this for my 10K account, since I already have one. But think a lot of banks will do it if you look around? HTHI have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
The Halifax one is good, you need to put in £1k a month (but can then move back to another account) and they give you £5 a month
It can be opened online, did mine last week and they send you a temporary password within a couple of days then you're all set to use it, hope this helps

Not sure of the details but on the MSE email this week the Alliance/Leic wre flagged as bringing in a £100 opening bribe to open their account
Don't know the details but might be worth investigating as would increase your profit too0 -

Probably best to search on the MSE website, as in by using the search bar on the top right and search under 'main site' that'll bring the most recent info on current accounts up.'It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else's life with perfection' Elizabeth Gilbert.

I saw soem glass jars in Shaw Trust yesterday and thought of this thread. Nearly bought some but knew I would never end up making anything with them lol
xi agree with the jewellery on ebay, pretty slow, but is it also prehaps not a good month, most people may have had jewellery for xmas, and others may not be going out in january because of overspending at xmas? That is how i am thinking of it anyway, makes me a bit more positive that the jewellery i bought for ebay may actually sell soon, lol, I have £20 left to invest from my initial £100 stake until i start making some money from what i have bought so far or can find to sell around mine or others people houses, hope i can stumble across the right item for me someday soon.
I am still keeping all my used glass jars in case anyone from wrexham area needs them for jam/chutney making and selling, i am not very domesticated so know it is not worth me trying to poison anyone with my offerings :rotfl:Debt at LBM: £9660.05

hi folks just dropping in again, there are a lot of people concentrating on ebay but remember there is scope for earning all around you, and probably a quicker buck.
babysitting, dog walking, baking, cleaning, growing seedlings for boot sales, hanging baskets in the summer, remember elections need people at the voting stations, outside catering companies may need waiters, bowling clubs/cricketclubs will need bar staff for the summer, stewards at the football,
look out for big events in your area - open golf, racecourses, etc they need extra staff too.
hope this gives you some more ideas for a quick burst of the odd £100 to your £10k
Really useful post, Thanks.

Anybody on here know anything about Bass guitars?
Unsure if this has a profit in it or not?
I have seen a Carlsbro Bass Guitar and Stand, and a 15watt practise amp
There is no bids and not long to go. It is a collect in person auction local to me.
It is starting at £25, or BIN for £45.
I was thinking that as its a bundle, perhaps cash converters would buy it off me.
Would there be a profit in it you think?
Or am I better off leaving it?Live for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0 -
right i've tried to post this a few times but my laptop is playing up so apologies if it is on already.
i have posted quite alot of items on ebay and the items that are getting most watchers and bids is WOOL. ive checked what wool is getting and most is going for around 1p per gram. so this is what i started my listings at. alot of it is getting bid up to around 2/3p per gram plus p&p so it's my best seller.
just thought it might be useful for some to know."it's better than a poke in the eye with a pointy stick" - my dad, regularly throughout my childhood when I complained about something being too small/not perfect/not tasty/not what I wanted. he was right every time.0 -

carlsbro isnt a sort after make for a bass guitar.... anything you buy could be a risk.... and at that price it might be worth a punt.... depending on condition.... etc.....
If cash converters dont want it, could you allways try a boot sale in the summer.....Work to live= not live to work0 -
