Hi everybody, congrats to everybody for all the progress made so far.
I've made a little progress and have sold about £320 worth of personal stuff after fees etc (12 auctions). However, from experience of ebay the majority of things I won't try selling for a couple of months. I don't think January is a good time for sellers on Ebay because so many people are in the same mindset as we are at the moment. I.e want to declutter, save money etc. Plus, those who aren't are likely to have been spending their money in the high street sales and are now probably waiting for their next pay check!
For those planning to buy to resell it might be a good idea to get some bargains now and sit on it until March and then re-sell. Just an idea?

OP great thread. Hi all, just purchased a house with my GF in September and oh how i could do with turing £100 into £1000. i would also like to join this adventure! My only problem from reading through is that im based in Northern Ireland so the wholesale fairs in England/Wales etc would be a no go. Am I at a disadvantage then?0

well then.... I thought Bingo Britain was a bit of a con but...... I won £5 on the bingo, then decided to have a play on the slots and won.....£25!!! Already on its way to me.....
I have also sold another bedding set, bought 10 more (star wars doubles!!) and have them sitting on ebay as we speak.... I am still waiting for another delivery of ladies tracky pants that I bought for £1 each so I have 40 on their way..... THey are La Gear, not a major label, but not primark either so I though £5 each BIN... nice little return if they all sell.
I think I will wait until next month to start decluttering the house as people say sales aren't brilliant in Jan on ebay and the loft is tooooo cold!
I'm still researching my other business so watch this space.
I have sold on ebay before but this thread is really motivating me to push myself a little more.
THANKS TO EVERYONE!!!

Today's aim is to get to grips with selling on Amazon. Got some antique and art books and on research Amazon seems my best bet.
All my ebay listings have sold this year but I have researched before listing to make sure similar items are selling. If not, they are priced up for the car boot.
People do seem to be buying and sellers aren't giving it away either.:j July '08 wins: £20 Foster Grant sunglasses...Lazy Town DVD...NScessity ActivSkins Kids Sun/swim set...Paddington Bear DVD
