And I have a bit of news... I was so inspired by Nikkis blog that guess what??!!? I decided to bite the bullet and set one up!!

more details and a link to follow!

hmmm this thread is in danger of seriously changing my life :) SO motivational. Keep at it everyone!!

Those with blogs could put a little ticker on them too. I see these ticker things at other forums and they seem a nice fun way of keeping track of grand totals or goals. Shame MSE doesn't allow a small image in signatures for them:

And a guide to adding it to a Blogger blog:

    And one for Wordpress blogs:

Well, I've learned something new tonight - the 'Best Offer' option on ebay is more hassle than it's worth to a seller! I had something for sale on a BIN and loads of people were asking if I would accept x, y and z amount. I added Best Offer option so that they could all formally make an offer. I accepted one of the offers and got unpleasant messages from the other potential buyers!!

I'm made of stronger stuff than that though but I'll not be doing that again!

Does anyone have any tips for photographing black items for sale, in my exp they just look like nothing when you try to take a pic, I have a really nice Karen Millen top but avoided putting it on ebay as it just looks relaly plain, the photos dont do it justice at all! Agree with party wear cos most people leave it til last min for christenings, special birthdays etc then find is out of stock so go onto ebay to look...same for dressing up stuff, and when you are desparate you will inevitably panic and pay more than you may have wanted too!

I have a slide projector screen I picked up from a carboot sale for £1.00 . This is great to standing up placed behind a dressmakers dummy for when I sell clothes as a plain backdrop or laid down on floor as a background image for other items.

Did my first ever ebay listing last night just to try it out. We have an ebay account but it has been DH that has done everything and whenever I've asked him to list something he's maintained it's too much hassle for small amounts and to bin/charity shop it.

So anyway I've done one of my craft mags which is a US title so expensive to buy over here and I have a bid at £3.99 already. So hopefully someone else will spot it and bid it up. I've got another few waiting to go, but this was my test one.

I'm away into town tonight to pick up (I hope) some leather thong for my necklaces as I won't be putting chains on them to start with (price) and also they look really good with leather thong or organza ribbon instead. Hoping to start setting up my folksy shop at the weekend.

My work target is also coming along nicely. I've switched most of my advertising to use my mobile rather than land line, so most calls I can answer really quickly. I've got quite a few new customers the last 10 days or so.

Off to work shortly - hope everyone has a productive day.
  • Had about my best investment so far, bought a £39.99 RRP item for £2 and at the moment its on ebay with 19 watchers in its fir few hours. fingers crossed

ooooo what is it indierocker? maybe other people would like to know, so they can make some money..
