  • I've been trying to catch up with this thread but everytime I turn around another pile of posts are up!

My exams are done and now I'm ready to get started proper. This is very much a get set up week for me and I will be doing the following:

Declutter a room a day for ebay/amazon/carboot etc (what is left since my last declutter anyway)
Begin listing my ebay items on Turbolister to get put on in one go.
Getting books/CD's etc on Amazon, Green Metropolis etc.
Set myself up with the Daily Clicks and register for lots of survey sites, mystery shopping etc.
Look to doing chatline thru adultwork, I already do chat for a company.
Minimum of 1 Dooyoo review a day plus reading and rating others, my username is the same as mine here if you fancy friending me ;)
Daily writing for some short stories and articles I am working on plus s romance novel I have semi-plotted.
Keep an eye out for pennies to go into the pot!
Use cash instead of the card, it forces me to stick to my budget and I have change for the pot.
Dig out the cash book to log my spends/income for the challenge.
Draft a nice layout plan for ebay.

I've ordered a quit smoking kit from the NHS but am going to have a go and quit cold turkey when my current tobacco is used. It would save a great deal for my pot.

I will also ask my Doctor to move my medication onto a bi-monthly prescription instead of a monthly. I am settled on the medication now and I can save £7.20 every other month.

I did a menu plan to take us till payday last night and have costed it up on Mysupermarket as being less than £40. Payday is on the 22nd and I figure we will need Milk, Fruit and Salad this weekend which I have budgeted £10 for. I'm now going to see if there are any vouchers available to reduce the cost further.

Today I will cook a batch of pizzas and freeze some, tomorrow a batch of loaves and rolls and the next day I will make baked chicken samosas and onion bhajis for our lunch boxes. The day after that some mini-muffins with oats and frozen berries that are lurking in the freezer and some ginger nuts to hide from OH so he does not gobble them in one go! Plenty of stuff in the freezer so I always have bread and easy teas and do not need to spend extra at the shops cos I'm lazy!

    Have a great day everyone!

Very impressed with that plan Whatagain.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

    Hi,
I have an auction which was won by someone based in Ukraine. Now, this is my dilemma - I am not sure if I want to go through with the sale as I am concerned about the item not reaching it's destination.
Have any ebayers had any problems with sending items to Ukraine or is there a postal service that you recommend?
I appreciate any help I can get
    Thanks

  • Postage just stated Uk postage only. The buyer has a feedback rating of 64, but has not paid as he would like to know the cost of postage first. In addition to this he did email, but I was not available to respond so he bid on it anyway... I am tempted to say no. Just wanted a second opinion.

hmmm if you check what the weight of the item is and find out the postage cost then add an extra £1/2 ontop, then e-mail the guy telling him if he wants it to be insured or not saying if its lost in the post it isnt your responsibility.

regardless of if you say its not your responsibility if item is lost in post ... IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY if the item is lost in the post

budweiser - go and read the ebay forums please and refresh yourself on ebay/paypal rules
  • I have messaged him and given him the pricing options. However I have specified that in this instance that I am not comfortable sending the item overseas and that my prefered courier in this intance is either parcelforce/dhl as they will guarantee delivery. Otherwise the item will go up for second chance offer to a uk based buyer. I also explained that I only do post to UK, and it is specified in my auction. He has not paid yet - so it makes it a lot easier to resolve.
