  • I'v just booked Ads for 4 things in the local paper, figure i may as well try the free route first since postage is going to be high for those bits.

Starting to feel a wee bit tired now after last nights carnage and no sleeps!

Worth noting if your looking at listing BIN's on eBay, Wednesday they're doing 4 times eBay Plus Reward Points for buyers purchasing on that day so *should* be increased sales. Don't think it helps with Auctions though unless your already listed to end Wednesday :s

just quick tip if buying on ebay remember quidco too

    eBay.co.uk

    eBay.co.uk Cashback rates

40%for winning a eBay auction or Buy It Now item. This amount is based on eBay revenue - not on the price you pay.

every little helps, not sure if paypal also do it

What does ebay mean by 40% on eBay revenue, may be me being dull but I don't get how they work out what you get. Highly recommend quidco though, I have used that (when I remember) and clawed back £169 and I don't even use it or remember too that often...don't think I will include that in my '10k' challenge though as its not really profit is it, its money I saved out of spending alot more!

79 items finish on ebay in 1 hour and 7 mins, so far ... 7 items will sell for £15 with 8 watchers in total, not looking good

Are they all finish at the same time? Hopefully not all the same thing ;). I am trying to spread things out a bit at the moment while I try to get a handle on how ebay works these days (it's been so long I have forgotten almost everything ;)). Is that 7 items £15 each, or total ... makes a difference :)? If you did it all with turbolister you can probably re list really easy (maybe in chunks) and try again. As Bing0 said earlier some times you re list a couple of times and on the third time it gets bid up with no rhyme or reason. Hope the next hour kicks some backside ;).

Oh, how is the business plan coming along?

Think I've learnt a bit of a lesson tonight. I need to remember its a year long challenge, the items I sold today were brand new ( although I got them for free) and they sold for half there value.

Maybe if I had put them on slightly cheaper on a buy it now and just kept relisting I would of eventually made a bit more cash.

However on the bright side is was all pure profit so shouldn't complain!!!!!

If they were free you have made 100's of % profit so not all bad......yeah you maybe could have got more but not necessarily and it frees up your money for other stock, at least you know whatever the items were do sell well so look out for more of that kind of thing and when you have more cashflow hold out for a better price?!

they are meant to pay postage unless you've put free p&p, you should weigh it and give them a price for postage too. I always say if bidder from abroad must contact me prior to bidding to get postage cost, then if they are happy they can bid and I only accept paypal payment from abroad
  • I've got 7 ebay items finishing within the next hour - 6 have bids :) Only a couple of quid each but it all adds up.

And the best news of the evening - I've just been outbid on an item I valued too highly! So that's £20 saved. Phew.

sorry if i am a bit quiet, figured while it is free to list CD on ebay, i may as well list at a price that will make me more profit than music magpie once postage and final value fees are accounted for, so busy listing CD's, any that don;t sell, it hasn't cost me anything, they can then probably end up on music magpie.

The money is out there for me, I just have to grab it :)
Thanks to all who post comps :T
