Ha ha, reminds me of when I was in Russia years ago, I traded a River Island carrier bag for one of those furry Russian hats!0 -
Well what a productive day for me
I've had to take a day off because my boiler gave up over the weekend (on the coldest weekend since records began!) so have been waiting in for a plumber, but have put my time to good use.
Sorted through the HUGE box of lego I bought from a charity shop at the weekend - only about 1/4 was branded lego, 1/4 mega bloks and 1/2 unbranded - but I've listed it in 3 seperate lots and should hopefully get a profit on that.
Have taken photos of other things I want to sell, discovered I have a rare tour programme from 1992 which is selling for £50+ and as usual, have done much research! Also posted 4 items (Royal Mail is my enemy, £6.00!!) and have spent the last hour racking my brains about where on earth I put all my old Wimbledon tennis programmes. Have some signed ones but can't find them anywhere![STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
Just picked up a couple of mystery shops for the end of the month, which will add £24.00 to the pot, finished a Lightspeed Survey and i'm keeping a close eye on a local pick-up item, that i'm hoping to get for 0.99p and sell for around £15.00 at the NCT sale at the end of the month.
For the longer term, I need to pass an exam to further my main business idea, so will need to focus there too, over the next few weeks.
Bye for now.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -

Good thread. Most the links I gave were about microstock but that thread is more 'pro'.If you're a pro photographer its worth skipping the microstock and selling the photos yourself if you can to get a higher one-off upfront payment vs the lower download-and-go unlimited route. In technical terms I think that is Rights Managed vs Royalty Free. I think there are some sites that deal specifically with Rights Managed photos. e.g. Alamy. Search for "RM" or "Rights Managed" perhaps. And some sites that have RF images also can offer RM like Gettyimages I think if you set as such. RF can add up as downloads go up but for a pro maybe more for throwing up your scraps.

Thanks
So I download it then have to wait a couple of hours before using it?
You will have to wait a couple of hours or so before you can change things with it ... like setting up automatic re listing etc. but you will still have live sales information (i.e. x product selling for y price etc) and you can look around the options and views to get the feel for it (it just takes over the selling section of MyEbay and gives more information and sales statistics etc). Hope this helps."I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." — Confucius0 -
