• MMTWGR - I'm with mambury on that one, definately helpful. On another note the £400 your sig says you've made suggests your not as rubbish at motivating yourself as you claim to be, believe in yourself more, your doing great!
• Am I the only one that feels like January's over with even though there's still a whole 5 and a half days to go?

Feel a bit under the weather today (feel like someone has run me over) and up to my eyes in things that really need to be done. I think however, that it is just going to be a chill day. spend time surfing, reading, stitching and getting better. Maybe will start work on the new clienits excel lists later, no hurry for those tho as not live til monday next.

Ok, I am waffleing again, think time for a cuppa. Anyone care to join me??

grrrr irritated at myself! I'll come up with what i think is a great idea, write it down, put a whole detailed, intricate plan around it about how to implement it, do step one and then stop! And then come on here, read all the ideas, refresh the page 1000 times and then go to work (mornings) or bed (evenings). Then go through the whole process again...come up with another idea...It's like i create a huge wall after step one, when the real work should start. Often this isn't any more difficult than the planning stage but i'm somehow telling myself to stop! This is why my OH and my Mum doubt me as this has happened millions of times. I think i've become so used to planning that i don't take it any further. Part of what i do for work is plan interventions for others to follow up and deliver. I also do this around the house - design new rooms and then OH does all the work! Maybe that's reinforcing the rut i'm getting in! I go full steam ahead and then stop. Same with Doo you - i wrote loads of reviews, got to the point where i was about to make money, and then stopped!! Grrrrr. Sorry to harp on!

So can you turn that whole ethos into a business plan....eg 'I do the planning you do the doing'? Or find a business partner to do the doing whilst you do all the planning and development - so you work to your strengths? Try and see it as a positive...you are good at delegating and organising....incorporate that into your plans!

I can say it but I can't do it though lol! As I am a little like you I can do all the planning and even start the work, and will get as far as getting a couple of clients/jobs I then doubt my self worth and stop looking for more work, then decide it obviously isn't working (nothing to do with my lack of commitment at all, honest!!) and then try and start something new!

I need to find a self belief that I can do it...and this thread is showing me that if others can so can I!
Life is a work in progress
