I've sold handmade jewellery at carboots and on ebay before - people do still like the personal touch as opposed to cheaper stuff that gets lost in the post or takes 30 days from China.
I've found wearing it helps and carrying business cards. If you make a lovely piece and wear it, you will get compliments all day. Great way to display the pieces !VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID

Thanks, I've done that now but really upset about my rating going down to 95%. The buyer was messing me about, received his item very quickly when he finally paid and can still have the last laugh by effecting my rating. I don't see how ebay protects sellers in any way - I don't even have the option of leaving him negative feedback! And if I give him positive feedback and write a negative comment, ebay will remove it!
Really destroys your confidence in the whole ebay experience. Totally fed up
Its horrible the way Ebay doesn't protect sellers like that as you were in the right so they should never have left you negative feedback. I totally understand where you are coming from - I pride myself in my 100% feedback. Have you tried emailing ebay customer services and expressing your concerns?
I don't know if would help but it may. Its a real shame when buyers abuse good people like yourself. Keep your chin up. Fortunately not all are like them.;)0 -
Mondays seem to be a slow day on Ebay, same last week, but managed a small sale of £5.99. Took 16 packages to the post office and managed to upset all the OAP's waiting to draw out all their money - love doing this on Mondays and Tuesdays it all adds to the fun of the sell LOL.
Haha, I had this yesterday, had about 10 things to post and I got nothing but filthy looks from a few silly old goats, needless to say this amused the PO staff as much as it did me, and they actually now know me by first name, I must be ebaying too much!Turn £100 into £10k challenge - Member #031 - £209.48 / £10,000 - £9,790.52 to go!0 -
Wanted to go to town to pop to the post office today but my benefit payment has been delayed (again) so I am not going anywhere until tomorrow. Not happy.0

I just got a free ironing board :j
Okay well technically it was a replacement as I complained about the original one about 3 months ago (was a houewarming gift anyway) as it was totally unsafe etc. I forgot all about it but a man from parcelforce arrived with a huge box and it contained a fancy ironing board. Totally better than the one before.
Saves me money as I don't need to buy another one!
I'm excited over an ironing board ... hmmmm0 -
lol , we went to the very busy post office to post our parcels and notised their walls are looking empty , so my hubby asked can he sell his photography in there and they said YES :j.

oh wowee! Thats so good! My brother paints so amazing pieces on canvas, he's only 15 but I've been trying to help him get his stuff out there and set up a free website on moonfruit and selling site on bigcartel, but having no luck yet. He's got a flickr page displaying his work, but we don't know what else to do0 -

On the basis that where there's muck, there's brass, I've had a root around where none but the brave dare to go ... under the bed ... and unearthed manky trainers, knackered shoes and frightful flipflops. I've also rescued the muddy boots that I was going to recycle - I could cry to think that I chucked out my holey socks recently ...
Anyone worried about selling 'niche' products on ebay - you can sell adult and fetish stuff on ebanned.com. Don't go there if you're easily shocked though!
Now I just need to recharge my camera batteries and on sale they go!0
