  • Hi All, hope your having a productive day :)

Finally got some stuff delivered to be getting on with and pretty surprised by the quality tbh plus i've got boxes and bags of other stuff to eBay/otherwise sell anyways so hoping for a big push this week. Reeeeally trying to get things done today because if i stop i won't start again (had literally no sleep, got in from work at half 5 after what can only be described as carnage... bad times, had to be up to take my little Mr to pre-school early so didn't quite make it to bed)

I've blitzed half the house, put washing on and changed the beds and quite frankly i'm almost delirious (sp?) but going to weigh and photograph loads for eBay and will be triple checking everything just to be safe lol.
    :rotfl:
Think i might try out Bingo Britain as well (if it's still worth it) after checking out the best way to work it to make a profit and not end up losing my real money.

Need to update my sig at some point too but I need caffeine before I can concentrate on figures :o

Hang in there YM20 - you're doing well! I work shifts too and can't function for the rest of the day. Mind you, it's amazing how productive you can be when the rest of the world's asleep!

First time listing on ebay in quite a while. I know you can't charge postage on books now, but can you charge postage for international shipping on books?

  • Tell me about it, I loved being the only person up when I got in even though I only did some ironing and re-organised my wardrobe, felt great for it though. I'll be alright so long as I don't sit down for too long although obviously i won't get the chance once Sir's done at pre-school. I kind of need to get on with some coursework BUT that involves a fair amount of stillness and I know when I read it back it won't actually make any sense :o so not the best idea for today!

Found another box of eBay-able stuff, just got to weigh, photograph and list all that too now :rotfl:

Anybody know where's best to sell porcelain dolls, I have about 30 from when I was 9-12ish, most are Ashton Drake and I've got 8 that were from the co-op, if i remember rightly they were £8.99 and a load of token/stamps? roughly a decade ago, I don't think any are especially valuable (esp since one of the co-op ones is in the window of the charity shop round the corner) but they're just sat in the cupboard with a load of 3D Puzzles which are also on there way out and I really don't want to have to take them all to our new flat house when/if we ever get the keys

Someone posted about kids annuals earlier, I noticed yesterday that they are all reduced to £1 in Morrisons.

I think Turia mentioned a blanked out spreadsheet a while ago (just reminded me I meant to ask for a copy ;) ...my half developed spreadsheets are a bit of an insanity at the moment ... I need the calming influence of someone's ordered mind :)). Can't remember what she said about it clearly, try giving her a PM.

i honestly think you need to find your own things to sell, if we all told each other what were good sellers, then ebay would be flooded with things, and the prices would go down...

everyone is in the same boat looking for things to make a profit on, so i dont think you are going to get anyone telling you what they they are selling:rotfl:and their trade secrets.. if they did, then they would be shooting themselves in the financial foot.

as someone has mentinoed before, start off at looking you like and injoy doing, hobbies etc, as see if there is anyway of making money from that..

also in the mean time, have you tried the on-line review sites like dooyoo and slice the pie?

also daily clicks, not much money, but over the months it is suprising how they mount up...

edit.... dont forget from now on... for a month or two, ebay is going to get quieter, as people will now start having their credit card bills in, with their christmas spends on

  • Wow. How quick is this thread. Very hard to keep up with. Is there anyway of just getting people to just put advice on here rather than lots of chat? Or am i in the minority with this view and just a slow coach?

My advice. If you work for the council. There should be a notice board on the intranet (not internet) that the employees only can access(this is the case for the council i work for). There should be lots of cheap items on there that people are trying to sell, as its a very easy option for them to get rid of stuff they don't want..

Hope this helps some people, and hopfully no-one that works for the same council as me :D
