Aw Mambury, you want to keep me all to yourself? :D

We can squeeze Whitewillow and Munchki in if they want to join MAMM ... even if Whitewillow does ruin the acronym ...

Unless we get some more members and then we can be Wam Bam thankyou Mamm :-)

Munchki- glad you got MSN, you didn't have to be tortured by Amber like I did!

Mambury- thanks for the tax info, very helpful- will be working out council tax and electric this afternoon :-)

Thanks LittleMissHappy, just found the site and bookmarked it now!

I also bought some scales last week, I don't know why I didn't think of this before. I will be weighing everything not listed as free postage from now on.

Spoke to the jobcentre as well who gave me some leaflets and phone numbers about getting set up self employed. Will be looking into this over the next week.

Probably wouldn't have done any of this without seeing this thread, so cheers guys again :D

    Moofie.
Iwould even weigh the free postage stuff bfore setting your starting price or BIN so you know that you will still be in profit after fees and postage.

I have actually started taking photos/writing info of my decluttering items read for ebay!! I am also weighing everything in an effort to work out postage...found this website http://www.postagerates.org.uk/ does anyone use it and know if it is acurate enough?

phew, once I am decluttered I feel like I will be able to focus properly so really hope my stuff sells!!! Also if it works and I can sell hubby has said he will have a sort through his stuff....he keeps everything, so can't wait, we might actually end up with space in our overflowing loft!!!

Well these curtains are still confusing me, two people now want me to sell both together, and I'm concerned if I change the listing the people who are already watching the item will change their minds lol! Hrmm. On the upside I have done some glass engraving and it's great! I could do to improve my handwriting though...
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Hmmm,I'm a beauty student (and quite good at the whole waxing, facial, massage aspect etc). If I get student insurance do you think it would be acceptable to charge people for things? Obviously a lot cheaper than a salon (but things like massage, manicures and facials are dead cheap anyway so easy to make a profit)

I am a fully trained tanning technician with fake bake but atm can't afford there kit - hopefully get this just before summer!

Opinions please! Would you pay a student to do your waxing etc? (Im HNC level so a bit more advanced that SVQ etc) Or would you steer clear? I would obviously make it VERY clear that I am only a student.

I would..... two of my neighbours are student beauty techs and I have no problem using them.

Maybe start by offering freebies to friends (or at cost anyway) to build up a reputation, set up a website (see 1st post re free site) and add references ..... worth a go if its not costing you anything!

So far we've got three Ms and an A, plus a W if Whitewillow joins in, so that'll make us WAMMM :rotfl:
