I'm with LV through my union and get unlimited mileage and free business cover. Mine is quite pricey though but that's mainly down to my postcode and nobody else came anywhere near when I shopped around at renewel.0

True in my case too. My LV policy was due for renewal a couple of days ago. Checking on the comparison sites and direct with insurers LV still came up as the best. To my pleasant surprise their renewal quote was £5 cheaper than the previous years premium, same cover and details.
LV seem to be pretty competitive at the moment depending on driver(s) and vehicle profile?0 -
Some insurane companies dont even ask to see proof of NCD now, they can find it themselves, I found this out myself when i changed insurers in December.
I would have had the same problem, 11 years NCD but my renewal just said 5+.0 -
:rotfl:LV have quoted £8760

The 300C doesn't surprise me as a pricey car to insure. If its a petrol it would explain even more, but I'm sure you can't possibly be able to stomach the amount of petrol it would need for that mileage. Its probably expensive because its a bit unusual and quite a new model.0

Ended up going with Tesco;- £452.55, used our cashback Amex card, and got 1200 clubcard points.
So thanks guys, I learned some stuff :beer:0 -

It's diesel, and getting around 37mpg, and yes I suppose it's quite unusual which is why hubby went for it over the Skoda Octavia that I was hoping he'd get. He's always like big American Cruisers - I guess opposites attract as my car would almost fit in the Chrysler's boot :rolleyes:0 -

LOL I know - we even did a spreadsheet and compared about 6 cars; the Octavia scored the best on economy and the Chrysler the worst on economy.
I wasn't sure about it at first but it's very comfy and has lots of Mercedes bits in it, including the gearbox, so it's very smooth and I'm glad DH has a mile muncher now!0
