The quietest nights in the West End are Tuesdays, so this is your best bet for being moved. Apply caution on matinees for anything on the GCSE or A Level syllabus (Blood Brothers, The Woman in Black and any classical drama) as they will probably have filled up with school parties anyway. Also, bear in mind that for some shows it is better to be higher up but nearer the front than on a lower level and right at the back (if, for example, you're at the back of the stalls in some theatres the overhang from the dress circle really restricts your view). On the show I work on I advise my friends to sit in the upper circle rather than at the back of the stalls.

I work in a theatre too!
    :T

But I'd reccommend to people to go to the theatres actual box office on the day to get a good price, especially throughout the week. Most do discounts for students, OAP etc, and again, many do day seats!!

Beware of many many bad 'agencies' in and around leicester square. I've known even the most legit ones to rip people off. You;ll only get a deal with them if they arent selling too well. Our top price face value is £60, and I've seen many of those priced £75 etc per ticket.

Especially look out for a place called FINK TICKETS. So many customers have had problems with this 'company' based in leicester sq./picadilly somewhere. Basically buying our cheapest tickets (£15) and flogging them off for £40 each by covering the face value with their hands, and getting people to sign an agreement to say that they have seen, and accept the face value of the ticket, without showing them what they're signing for.

    TKTS is 100% perfect.
anything else, may be legit, but always be aware.

Hope that helps someone, feel free to PM if you want any help!!

Any chance you would tell us what one that is?.... In the interest of theatre goers everywhere?;)

Sorry... combined with all my other posts that would be an identity thief or stalker's dream come true! ;) However, you'll find box office staff (as opposed to ticket agency staff) very happy to give you just that advice.
Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...
  • I saw LOTR at Drury lane last night - £60 tickets in the stalls for £37.50 on https://www.westendtheatre.com Great seats, pity about the show. Fabulous set, but overall a bit of a disappointment.

    Hi,
has anyone booked through theatre-ticket.co.uk? If you input it will go to http://theatrenet.eolts.co.uk

I got this address because I enrolled the mailing from http://www.showsavers.com/ and there were some offers there from this website.

    It says:

All tickets purchased from this site are supplied by Encore Tickets Limited. Encore Tickets Limited is a member of the The Tickets Agents Association (TAA), UK Incoming, The European Tour Operators Association, Visit London and Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers (STAR). • Hi all,

Me and some friends were wanting to go the Sylvie Guillem and PUSH dance event at The Coliseum in London around 05 April.

Does anyone know of any special deals going for this event? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  • I just booked dirty dancing tickets at a discount price from Hit the Theatre: http://www.hitthetheatre.co.uk/. You can request call back to speak to them directly, which is great!

    Would definitely recommend them!

I think the place to check at the moment is ticketmaster as I am on their mailing list and every Friday noon to Mon noon they have recently had offers to London shows, using their countdown promotion box and code. If you book outside of these times you have to pay full price. They send the email newsletter the day before. For example I booked sound of music tickets for £12.50 each. Last week the offer was for half price seats at Lord of the Rings. Today at noon all into the hoods show seats are £10 (plus £2.50 booking fee), still though as seats £39 it is still a big saving for best seats.
  • First I have to say i love this site's forums and read the threads all the time so finally i signed in so I can give back a tip of my own. After trying many of the sites here I found a site that gives great deals on shows called broadwaybox.com. I got it form a friend and ever since I got a great deal on Wicked tickets about 3 months back, I have used it for more shows. I have already seen Spamalot for just £20 each ticket (for a really good view) and we also saw Lord of the Rings for £37.5. The full link is broadwaybox.com/london so here's to doing my bit for humanity.

How did you get on their mailing list? Was it via: http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/channel_partner/?brand=tmdeal?

I did this but have not received any offer?! Was there an offer this weekend? And is there a link or code you might be able to share with us?

I booked The lover and the collection for last week using the code TMDEAL for £10 best available, even though I wasn't sure it would work. I noticed they had special price tickets and tried this code. However this was not advertised anywhere. perhaps it was on one of their emails??

I booked tickets with them, so I think that may be how I got on their mailing list. This weeks offer on ticketmaster is £20 off Grease tickets- so tickets start at £20 each. Booking started noon Friday and ends Monday noon. Mon-fri performances until the end of the month. Go to countdown offer box and out sandy in the promo code box. May seems to be a good month for theatre deals on TM as last year I got cheap seats for Mary Poppins in May. It may be worth looking after noon on a Friday on TMs theatre site and click on offers you see-it then teels you that offer and what to put in as the offer code at the far right hand side.
