I'm really sorry to read your last 2 posts, BonandDom.

I guess what's meant to be, will be - and any decision may have been taken out of your hands.

Best wishes for the future - whatever it brings.

As difficult as your original situation sounded the one you're currently facing is even more heartbreaking.

I'm so sorry. Please take good care of yourself. x

Don't want to repeat what else has been said here but -
Just wanted to say RE your daughter going to uni - that's what grants/loans are for. I'm almost 22 and at uni and apart from the fact my parents bought a flat as investment so I could pay less rent for what I live in (basically I pay the same as living in student accomodation and I fund this through my job and through my student loan/grant) I don't receive extra funding from my parents.... and I reckon about 50% of students if not more are in the same situation as me, so don't worry that you won't be able to support her financially because she should be able to manage with the loans/grants.

Plus - if she's only 16 now then she has two more years to save up some cash from a part time job or whatever to put towards supporting herself at uni, planning ahead will work even better.

    Good luck with everything
