I went there in Oct 2008 and it was BAAAAD.

We were slung in one of their "chalets" (translate that to: filth laden flat). If I were you, I'd try and see if I could get a caravan - possibly upgrade if offered or call and ask if they've refurbed recently.

Obviously my stay was towards the end of the season so perhaps it's not so disgusting towards the beginning of the year?

I agree about the Chalets. Ours at Perran Sands was whilst spacious was awfully outdated and worn but we were out 99% of the time so it did the job and the site itself was great and in a fab location. Talking to our neighbours it transpires they had all booked a £9.50 deal too. I would defo recommend upgrading! We are hoping to return there when the next £9.50 run is on but will be booking luxury!

• park resorts - camber sands - anyone been?

we've only been to smaller parks before with not much on - but this year its just us three going and just wondered what you have to pay for ..if all activities listed go on etc etc .. we are going second week of easter hols . daughter is 5 and she is extremely into having fun!!

Ive never really explored the area so it will be really nice if its not raining - fingers crossed , i like doing these Sun hols as a base!

Weve been to this one once and all of us really liked it.the caravan was very clean and new the kids loved the pool and the amusents .
all in all one of our favourite sites.

PEOPLE ARE SELLING THEM ON EBAY FOR £35:embarasse, IM PLEADING TO SEE IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS A SPARE PRIORITY BOOKING FORM, THEY CAN GIVE TO ME??.

ID BE SO MUCH GRATEFUL AND SO WOULD MY TWO YOUNG CHILDREN, HOPING TO BOOK IT MAYBE SUNDAY SO PLEASE PLEASE MAKE OUR WEEKEND AND GIVE US SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO.

IF ANYONE HAS A SPARE / FREE BOOKING FORM PLEASE CAN THEY EMAIL ME THE CODE TO: dtracey1@blueyonder.co.uk

I LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM ANYONE PLEASE. Thankyou Dominic Tracey

There is a lsit running on the other thread that Sheila54 directed you to.

Some people may be a little suspicious of a new poster though, as someone who may just want a priority code to sell it themselves on eBay.

If it's any help, I got the distinct impression whilst on site that the caravans weren't as bad as the chalets (but by the time we'd got there, it was too late to do anything about it).

I have three children, and they certainly loved the holiday. I think when you're an adult you tend to see the "warts" more!

Thanks for the reassurance mrcow, as long they have a big pool my kids are going to love it. I'll review it when I'm back.;)

Yeah, I've been there. However, my memory is slightly off on this one. I was 3 weeks post birth to second child and also the smoking ban hasn't kicked in yet.:( So I remember old and out of date decor, standing mostly outside because the entertainment area resembled gas chamber and caravan smelled like brewery after major relaunch party. BUT, this was 5 years ago. The pool, children area, beach was fantastic. The evening entertainment was very good, had to drag my daughter out of there every night. The little village of Rye was great and Hastings if beautyful !
I think you'll have great time, lots to do in the park. They even have a tennis court. :T

We went to Camber Sands about 2 years ago at Easter. It was a really early Easter and cold so we didn't venture out much. We had one of the chalets which although dated was perfectly fine for us and I preferred the extra space we had (3 bedrooms all heated instead of what we usually get - a 2 bed caravan and have to make up bed in lounge).
The entertainment complex was nice and quite new and the entertainment was excellent. My kids won an Easter colouring comp and won a foot high Thorntons easter bunny which was yummy!
The pool was very good with 2 or 3 separate pools and the kids loved it in there.
Nice fish and chip shop on site next to the entertainment!
• can people without priority form book online yet ?
or do they have to wait a few more days ?
