HURAY, done. Finally. I thought I would never get there. 12th of April Haven Caister beware !!! Anybody been there before ?

I've been to Devon Cliffs, it's beautiful but the park is huge ! Also in April it's very windy and therefore guite chilly, pack load of cardigans and socks for night-time.

The least favorite park has so far been Park resorts Martello beach. Could be a nice park if they took care of it. When we arrived there were loads of rubbish in the stream running around the park and further up the beach.

Can't wait to try this one !!
we went to caistor last year, brought back childhood memories as we used to go to great yarmouth every year as a kid, holiday was fine, caravan was fine only problem was on way home clutch went, not a member of aa so had to join up, and because i was joining to get assistance they charged me £160, then they had to tow me home, so another £100 on top, then the clutch cost £500 so all in all it cost £760:eek: for a £80 holiday, luckily i had taken the insurance so i got £200 back off that which paid for our holiday to butlins in oct half term last year:T
Take every day as it comes!!

Hi, I had to apply by post one year- I didn't get my first choices but did get a holiday. Its not as convenient as booking on line and the waiting is a pain but you should still manage to get a holiday- i have heard that if you tick any park in 1area you are pretty much guaranteed to get a hol. I keep my fingers crossed for you :-) do you have some tokens missing or do you have them all, would a bonus token help you?

Sorry, my payent confirmation and holiday confirmation came at the same time. I think i was fortunate as I booked on Friday afternoon when the last word had been guessed and so the system would have been really slow.

One thing that might help though is that my holiday confirmation came through as SPAM and the payment didn't. Have you checked your span folder?
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

Thanks Spaceman5, after reading MRCOWs reply I was bit taken aback. The reviews from other sites are mixed, seems either people hate it or love it. Nothing I can do about it anyway. Have opted for the upgrade so fingers crossed we get something decent. We've been going for years now and I have to say Haven has always been one of the better ones.

If it's any help, I got the distinct impression whilst on site that the caravans weren't as bad as the chalets (but by the time we'd got there, it was too late to do anything about it).

I have three children, and they certainly loved the holiday. I think when you're an adult you tend to see the "warts" more!

Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."

We went to Pontins Brean sands and "upgraded" to a chalet which was actually worse than a caravan!
