  • Reloaded my win7 ultimate trial version and everything works fine. I did the upgrade version. So I am just going to swap the pro for this if they let me - it will save me a lot of unnecesary stress.

Once again, can I thank you all for your help. I really appreciate it.

I think that the only reason that the upgrade works is that the launch manager program is still there - is that right? In that case, a better solution is simply to do a clean install with your Windows 7 Pro disk and just install launch manager again from the Fujitsu website (as upgrade installs sometimes cause other problems that aren't immediately obvious). As long as you have the correct software installed, the version home/pro/ultimate should not affect how the wireless works (or any hardware).
I would be very surprised if they let you swap pro for ultimate because there is normally a difference in price.

If installing the lanuch manager software from the website still does not work for some reason, you could just copy the launch manager files from your existing installation to a USB drive and then copy them back again after installing Windows 7 Pro.
  • I'll have one more go at it on monday, failing that I will need to try for a swap. I know there will be a difference, have no problem with that.
WOuld have prefered it if this thing had worked first time round.
I;ll go and find the software and re-install on monday.

    Thanks once again.
