    My sister has a Mercedes E class. It's not even great in the rain.

    My neighbour has a Rover 416, it isn't even any good in the dry, it is always on the back of breakdown truck or in for more repairs.:D

    My boyfriends Mercedes c220 automatic coupe. Its rear wheel drive and has a mind of its own. in snow its favourite position is the side-ways crawl.
    Its sooooooooo dangerous, we didnt use it for a fortnight with the snow!!

    Made me laugh, but I thought rover bashing had gone out of fashion now! :rotfl:

    I can report that my Rover 114GTA with its short ratio gearbox was super in the snow. Only slidey moments were deliberate instances of lift off overstear around roundabouts.... :D

    Best car in the household though was definately the 93 Ford Escort Derv Estate (with snow tyres!!!)
    Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male:

    :D Did you hear this one?;

    Rovers are like women:

    They leak when you don't want them to, moan on long journey's, embarrass you in front of friends and peers, and consume more money than you ever expected once you've committed yourself to one.:)

    Years ago I lived 60 miles away from work, I averaged 1 hour, driving over the almost deserted moors every weekday there and back. Then winters in Northumberland were terrible, many's the time I drove on hard packed and virgin snow. I well remember not being more than a few minutes late on any occasion out of 6 years. It's NOT the car it's the stupid drivers that haven't the faintest idea how to drive a car in any circumstance! How many times have we seen on TV wheels spinning very fast on ice? If you can't drive on ice or snow stay at home and keep out of my way.
