BMWs for definite, including their toy 4x4s.
Yesterday I was walking in the South Downs near Brighton. There's 4 to 5 feet of snow in places. At one farm, the farmer was telling me he had to rescue a BMW X5 in his tractor AFTER he'd told the bloke not to attempt the lane (apparently the X5 driver saw a proper landrover go up there earlier so thought it was ok)
The farmer said he'd really wished he could have left him to his fate but for the fact the lane was the only way in and out of his farm.0 -
Have to say my mini cooper has run flatsbut has not slid even once and has held the road in the heaviest of snow conds here in Manchester where we have had plenty of it.i was very wary at first of snow /ice driving but car performed brilliantly.0

Presumably this is part of the reason the rules of the road in many countries more used to wintry weather (eg Switzerland) specify that the person coming uphill has priority: it's not easy to get moving on a slippery uphill patch!Fight Crime : Shoot Back.
It's the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without being seduced by it.

My MX-5 is also appalling in snow and ice - light, RWD and with the wide low profile tyres it doesn't go anywhere if it is snowing.0

My award for the worst car in the snow was a fiesta being driven on the road from the supermarket by an old chap. He was sliding sideways the whol way along the road. Could have something to do with the fact that he'd left the handbrake on, and he was dragging the rear wheels!!!!! He didn't hear when I shouted at him (was wating for him to come through), but fortunately a pedestrian slightly further up the road did, and stopped him0
