My lovely P reg Toyota Paseo has been a STAR this last week or 2. I'm the only one who's got to work every day, and not had to be dug off the car park. Used my 03 Xsara today and although not as good, I only had a couple of slips and no slides.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

BMW - useless in the snow.
Worst driver - bloke I saw on the M5 this morning - or almost saw, driving a Honda Civic with iced up rear and rear side windows, and a misted up drivers window that had only had about 5 square inches of ice scraped from it, but he still managed to find time to light his fag...0 -
I'd vote for any 4x4 making drivers over-confident such that they end up driving 2 inches off the car in front. When they hit the brakes they're going to skid just like the rest of us.0

Yes, my BMW is absolutely bobbins in the snow. Wide tyres and rear wheel drive means I cant get traction at all, even the slightest slope is completely out of the question. Rubbish.
I do enjoy the rear wheel drive the rest of the year though.0 -
BMW BMW BMW for worst
I use to have a gold mk5 1.4 TSI, brilliant car in snow. Has snow mode which is brilliant, just press that and sorted(most of the time). I never got stuck in snow with this last year in france. I have a BMW and i get stuck all the time, i got stuck on a straight road so many times. I cant believe the car cannot handle a straight road!
I've got 'snow mode' in my 12 year old Discovery...it's called me...
Brought up driving in the winters of the sixties when a heater was an extra and sensible driving on ice was more common.0 -
My little rwd Agila with snow tyres is brilliant, im very impressed. My next doors neighbours Vectra is struggling to get out even when being pulled by a van. Its the HGV's near me that need shooting, flying past at over 50mph, 1 jacknifed yesterday but they still dont learn.0

My Nissan 200sx is being a bit naughty in the snow. 200HP, turbo, RWD, no traction-control...
