  • I am very tired.

    And a bit down.

Checked my online bank balance and I am £20 over my limit. I am so stupid. Why haven't I paid in my greaspalm cheque? Now I will have some bank charges next month. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I have to go to a 30th birthday party tonight. I'm tempted to take the car and not drink, just show my face for an hour and sneak off.

I needed a necklace to go with the outfit I was wearing and the 'I'm cheesed off, go and spend' devil rose up in me. I was all for going into town and buying a new necklace, but I found one with a big silver disc on (used to be my favourite), but the silver has tarnished (only silver 'look' rather than real). So I have got creative. And I have painted the silver disc with acrylic paint (knew those paints I was given last Christmas would be useful!) to match my top!!!

It looks quite cool as the paint is a bit 'textured' and it looks like a purple planet!!! I've named it Planet Cadbury!!

I'll wait to see if the paint dries - there's every chance acrylic paint won't dry on metal. I don't fancy wearing it and ending up with paint all over my cleavage!!!!

Pay in your greasypalm cheque as soon as you can (I assume it will cover that), then phone the bank and say "I've just noticed I've gone overdrawn...It's all right now...Please don't levy charges..." etc, and stay on the phone till they get rid.
    Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Now now, everyone has a careless moment every once in a while. If all us careless people called ourselves stupid, the stupid people would go to court to enforce their trademark. And we wouldn't want that... :D

Or you could go and enjoy yourself since you're feeling down.

No, that wouldn't be good. If you want something on your cleavage, try chocolate sauce or squirty cream. Yes it's fattening, but it doesn't go on your thighs. :p

  • Well I went to the party. It was horrible.

About 150 people I didn't know and about 10 (max) that I did. The few that I did know were all sat in kind of 'family' groups and so I stood with a diet coke whilst people pushed by me. I stayed for an hour, had 2 diet cokes and wandered off home. I gave the girl her birthday card, but she was so caught up with so many people being there, I just got a quick 'hi' .

So, DF wise it was very virtuous. The evening cost me £2.20.

Unfortunately, I was a bit upset by it all and told my OH that I had felt humililated, stupid and alone. He had refused to come with me (he said there's nobody there I know) so when I told him how it had been, he just shrugged his shoulders and said 'so it's my fault is it? Why should I go to a party where I don't know anyone' and I said 'to have a night out with ME.'

    He just didn't get it.......

Aw. :grouphug: At least you "showed face" I guess.
    He just didn't get it.......

It's a shame you hadn't ran into an old (male) school friend who dances well and is all touchy-feely during the smoochy songs. Or at least you told your OH that you did... :D

lol...........funny you should say that - there is a guy who really likes me but he wasn't there....:blushing: ......he is married though so nothing would happen and it was held at the pub where we are both regulars, so it wouldn't have been a 'goer' anyway........but you did kind of hit a bit of a nail on the head without realising!!

    Ooh?
    ......he is married though

    Yes?
    so nothing would happen

That fact is on a need-to-know basis, and you OH don't need to know. :D

  • ZTD - I'm shocked!!!! :p
  • i've just had my shopping from Asda delivered and it's gone a bit weird!

    Apparently I ordered
    2x hairspray (I ordered 1)
    30 x eggs (I ordered 15)
    3x packs red leicester (no - 1, definitely 1!!)

and none of my frozen stuff appeared. The store have just grovelled and said 4 customers didn't get frozen stuff as the freezer broke in the van but forgot to tell the driver. It will be with me tomorrow.

However, also in my shopping (in the same bags, mxed in with my other stuff not separate) I got (not charged for)

Large bag of mature grated cheddar
    500g Anchor spreadable
    another litre of milk
2 x 450 g tubs flavoured organic yoghurt (very posh!)
    and
5 litres of fresh fruit juice!!!!!!!

Confess??? Or hold a cocktail party? I can provide the juice if you can bring a bottle!

sandwiches will be provided - one filling only.........egg mayonnaise........

I'll come - surely you can stretch to some cheese butties as well? We can whizz the milk, yogurt and OJ for a healthy and nutritious drink:eek:   .

Shall I bring my rollers & we can play hairdressers with the extra hairspray? :p
