I've done a bit of digging and answered one of my own questions. Apparently, sweet almond oil is a good eye make-up remover, especially for dry or sensitive skin. Does anyone know if I can get it on the high street anywhere or do I have to look for specialist or internet shops? Edit: Holland and Barrett sell it. If you cleanse with sweet almond oil do you need to wash it off with warm water and then moisturise afterwards? I've got a bottle at home which I'd like to use but am unsure exactly what to do with it.2013: Interflora Vouchers, Christmas Decorations, NNUK goody bag, thermos flask, macwet gloves0

Unrefined Shea Butter from Sheabutter Cottage. I usually whip it up with a fork/hand blender and sometimes add some Sainsburys mild Olive Oil. (You can buy it already whipped but doing it yourself is much cheaper) Makes a fantastic body butter and general moisturiser for the whole family especially during this cold weather.I went away and now I'm back.:j:j0

i've spent years and wasted so much money on trying to find something that doesnt irritate my eyes when taking off makeup.
sweet almond oil is the only thing not to irritate. i wipe the oil off my eyes with a dampened cotton wool pad. it's excellent with no scary chemicals and it moisturises too.0

IMO this is the best and most effective beauty money-saving tip ever. Even if you don't have a particularly problem skin, simply swapping your usual cleanser for cleansing with a natural oil like almond oil, obtainable from thje supermarket will result in you saving a fortune and more importantly, balancing your skin and saving you spending a fortune on corrrective products!
i started with olive oil and it was great but a bit heavy so started reading about oils and discovered sweet almond and jojoba. imo opinion these are far superior to olive in skin care. my skin has never looked so good.
i want to buy wheatgerm rosehip and coconut oil but i'm not buying toiletries for a while 0 0

Thank you for the heads-up although I think I'll start with a smaller bottle, just to see if I like it. Have you used that site yourself? I've read some reviews online and some are pretty bad and the others read like they've been written by the company themselves  so I'm being cautious...fizzytrinket wrote: »i've spent years and wasted so much money on trying to find something that doesnt irritate my eyes when taking off makeup.
