Gammon was in our shop but unfortunately not the pork or lamb shoulder. The uncertainty is quite exciting!0

Hi, thanks to everyone for posting about this deal/best ways to cook the meat
Could someone please explain about the #5 off vouchers or direct me to a thread that contains the info? TIAI enjoy money-saving and am slowly entering the world of online earnings - aiming to pay for Christmas 2015 from extra income earned in 2015.
So far: Bubblews £16.19 . Swagbucks £25, Neobux £1.29, Clixsense -.
Freebies/wins 2015: 2 x Convent Garden soup boosters, mini L'Oreal foundation, LG smartphone, mini Clinique face wash.0 -
The £5 vouchers were dished out around Christmas time at the checkouts- four to a leaflet, one for each week in January. Basically, if you spend £25 each week, you get £5 off the four bills - but I'm afraid you've missed the boat.0

Hi
I got 1 rump steak, 1 gammon joint and 1 chicken for £10.
Cooked the gammon tonight and did it as I always do, half cooking boiled in a covered pot and then cut off the skin, scored and smeared it with a little honey. Baked for rest of time in the oven. Very moist and delicious.0 -
I've got £125 in M&S vouchers! Colleagues very generously gave them to me when I left my last job but it's a shop I never seem to get to except once a year when we do a day visit to Meadowhall. Our 'local' store is about 16 miles away and I haven't a car at the mo and we don't live anywhere near a bus service being very rural.
Long story short, does M&S accept their vouchers for food shopping please? I could splash out on some of these wonderful offers you've all been mentioning if I can persuade OH ( not an easy task:eek: )to let me have the car at the weekend. Better than buying clothes I don't really want/need just to use them up.0 -
I got the lamb shoulder and reading the cooking instructions on the back it says to cook for 3 hours.
But then there is a chefs tip that says it will be even better if its cooked for longer but says nothing about the temp if cooking longer.
So what I need to know is do I just cook it at the temperature it states (160 degrees I think) if you are cooking it for 3 hours but keep it in the oven for another couple of hours?
Don't want to ruin it!0 -

Yes I have used vouchers before for buying food so it should not be a problem.
Enjoy stocking up!0 -
Does anyone know if this offer is still on??? I desperately need to get some meat in, and if this deal is still on, I'll nip in tonight after work! :beer:I wish I was a glow worm, a glow worm's never glum
Cos how can you be gloomy, when the sun shines out your bum?0 -
In my shop it seems to be 'half on' - because the £10 dine in offer takes up so much room, the meat has gone back to being on the shelves, so you have to seek out the marked packages. There doesn't seem so much as a couple of days ago but I saw beef, chickens and gammon today. Wasn't really looking, so there may have been others.0

The offer does indeed run to the 2nd of Feb. There is an awful lot of products in it with only a few ever on the end. For Fish alone there are 22 different lines, then you have all the meat and all the poultry.
The best deals are on the catch weight products, the ones sold by weight. Some of those can have retail prices above £6. So three for £10 is a very strong deal. Just look around the meat poultry and fish area of the food hall. Anything with a 3 for £10 sticker or ticket will work on the deal, not just the things on the end.0
