Wish I had read all this this morning!
Had a phone call from the said company this pm promising money in account by Thursday.
They said money would be taken out of account on Tuesday next week.
Have not recd 'welcome' pack but emailed them to say I wished to cancel.
Anything else I can do? Can they still take money from my account - or try to?0 -

You accepted a loan on the basis of someone calling you up, did they twist your arm ?0 -
Firstly I believe the names of the company's involved have slightly changed to those in my title. Secondly beware all consumers I have been royally duped by these people to the sum of £680. E deprecate payments to show capability, to transfer funds and to raise credit rating. All with a promise of a full refund on top of the loan within a few minutes. I finally drew the line when the told me they had made a clerical error and arrange a transfer with £300 overpayment that I must pay before they release the funds. I went to the police who advise me after investigation that they are a registered company but trading standards are looking into complaints. At the moment the police can't do anything. I contacted citizens advice consumer helpline who are also contacting trading law. They advise me to write to the company and stare breach I'd contract and my intention. Of taking legal action through civil court (small claims). I don't have much hope but if we all stand together hopefully we can stop it!! :-(0
