Advice required!! - AK Solutions Loan company AKA Money essentials

Hey everyone, I have registered here today hoping that the users of this forum can bless me with some advice regarding AK Solutions/Money essentials from tring.
On the 18th December 2009 I applied for a loan, and AK solutions (broker) contacted me by telephone. The words used was 'we can gurantee a loan', maybe I was being naive, but i trusted this, especially after the advisor passed me to the manager whoo also assured me it was guaranteed...All I had to do was pay £54 fee and the documents would be posted out to me in time for christmas to sign and return and I would receive my loan funds within 24 hours.......
Until now I never heard or received any documentation, despite calling the company every day until a few days before christmas (until there offices closed for the christmas break)
Since their offices opened this monday, i contacted them again and requested a refund by email (as per their instructions). In addition I was informed at the time of making my 'payment' to them, that as my loan was guranteed i could go ahead and 'bid' on a vehicle I was interested in for my daughter for Christmas...which I did, never was able to pay for....via ebay...so Im sure you can now imagine my stress!!!
When I highlighted today to AK Solutions that they had misled and lied to me in order for them to obtanin my fee, and that I have never received any documentation, not even an acknowledment to my emails, and since paying my fee I was passed around their company like the pluage and continually rushed off the phone each time I called, the Manager of the company replied with 'your a liar, yes i am calling you a liar, and now it may take upto 6 months for us to return your fee'
I dont know if anyone else has had such dealing with this company, but it seems when I voiced my concerns i was then insulted and also made to feel I would be made to wait upto 6 months to get my fees returned, despite being told at the time of paying this that It was fully refundable within 7 - 10 days if a loan was not secured....
When I asked for her managers name i was told 'i am the manager and there is no one for you to complain to'
I have posted here as when i googled AK Solutions there was previous posts about users who had used this company and also experienced problems via this forum. When I quoted this to AK Soultions, they responded with 'people onnly write on forums to complain - never to compliment' So I guess when they call their customers liars and fail to provide services that the customers fee has paid for, in AK Solutions opinion they have no room for complaint.......nor do they give their customers very much option to do anything else but complain.
The joke of all of this is even until this morning they still tried to offer me another loan...I have asked for my money to be returned, yet I dont expect it will be yet if it is will take upto 6 months....
Can anyone give me advice as to what I can do.
thank you.

Yes, don't use a loan company that charges upfront fees. Any genuine loan company will make their money from the interest that you pay on your loan.0 -

How did you pay? If it was by a VISA card, consider asking your bank to issue a chargeback.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

i have emailed them on enquiries@moneyessentials.co.uk for a refund but have also reported them to trading standards on tradingstandards@hertscc.gov.uk and to Herts Police0

i hate companies like this and they should be shut down immediately. they take money of anyone they can get with false promises and im sure 99% of the time the people who are ripped off cannot afford to pay this but are in a dire situation which they take advantage of.0

Your next step is phone your bank as you paid with VISA, and issue a chargeback. Be quick, as I believe you only have (iirc) 90 days to do so from the date of the transaction.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

This is actually easier to sort than you might think.
Telephone again and get the name, or headset number of the person you speak to and give your account/reference number take a note of this
Then say to them:
"Please listen to what I am about to say. I will deem you to have have heard and understood it even if you hang up.
I am dissatisfied with the way I have been treated because you have charged me £X in return for the promise that you would arrange a loan within [timescale] and have failed to do so.
Under Section 59 of the Consumer Credit Act 2006, you must now acknowledge my complaint in writing and provide me with a copy of your Complaints Procedure.
You must also arrange for my complaint to be fairly and objectively investigated by a person with sufficient competence to do so who has not been involved with the events giving rise to the complaint.
They must, within eight weeks from today, write to me explaining the outcome of their investigation and make any proposals they deem appropriate to settle the complaint. If they are unable to do so by that time, they must write to me and explain why they cannot do so.
Whichever they do, they must also explain, in writing, how I can take my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service if I wish to and provide me with a booklet entitled 'Your Complaint and the Ombudsman', which you can purchase from the Financial Ombudsman Service but may not charge me for.
I look forward to receiving your acknowledgement and, in due course, your proposals for resolving this matter and the booklet"
If you prefer, you can e-mail or post this. E-mail is quite good because it is free.0 -
Hi I spoke to someone called Lucy and have now backed it up with a recorded letter confirming the conversation and telling them that neither they or any third parties they may have entered into negotiation with on this matter may debit any money from my card is this solid enough. I have also reported them to Trading Standards and Herts police0

I recently got a loan through AK Solutions, they took a fee of around £50 for a £2500 loan, at first I was reluctant to pay having paid various other brokers before with little or no help, their advisors were very reassuring and made me comfortable to go ahead. I received my documents 2 days later and the money in my account not long after, needless to say I was so relieved when all went ahead as they advised as I was dubious from the start. Darrengillen did you ever call them to ask why you hadn’t received documents? I had to call to check my delivery address and the advisor was very helpful.
Ladylyrical I would say its common sense to wait for funds before making rash decisions. I wouldn’t have taken any advice of this kind as concrete. And Mollysmum maybe you forgot that you gave your card details? I suggest you call AK Solutions first, I’m sure it’s a misunderstanding. They couldn’t have taken money out of your account unless you gave your card details to authorise. Hope this helps!0
