  • lol I guess so. Thank you. I think I'm just panicking cos I the longer it goes on the less time I would have to find something else. And as she's sent the email she has been online, it's just a nightmare!
    Argh!
I had a nightmare the other night that I got pulled by the police on the way to the registry office for the driver speeding. Oh dear.

  • Off to my first bridal shop appointment tomorrow...made the mistake of buying off ebay and it was creamy yellow instead of Ivory as advertised down a whole £50....Will be ebaying it soon if i find the right one....
thanks for the advice about undies etc bit worried as my BM is coming with me and she is just as pushy as i think the staff will be LOL....
  • OMG i am back and was in the shop a whole 2hours and 15 mins and i have to say i loved it the SA was great not to pushy and did not even make me buy the dearest dress....just the prefect one for me as there sale had started today i got the dress just under half price at £262.50 Maggie S dress also had shoes from pink in sale for £15.00 the best was she knew exactly what i liked and picked 4 dresses out I liked all of them i picked 10 out and her choice was better.....BM and me had a nice lunch a few wines job done and they will look after for my dress until nearer the wedding day in August am chuffed please dont be scared to go.....also the SA said i looked terrified when i came in but went out with a smile now for the Tiara and Jewellery.....
  • hey hayleythedaisy just read your whole thread and im dying to know whats happening! i really hope you get the dress.

ive been engaged a year now but didnt even think about it until my friend started planning hers - getting excited now!
  • Sorry I meant to update this last night but then my BM's turned up to look at shoes (Which didn't fit so I now have 4 pairs of midnight blue shoes in various colours!)
Anyway. I still haven't heard from the ebay lady, I have emailed her again but to no avail. I am now getting to the point where the dress shop need to know if I am ordering from them or not for it to arrive in time.
So I am effectively back to square one.
I am going to try calling dress shops tomorrow to see if they have that dress as a sample in my size and they would be able to sell it at a discount.
I also going to have another trawl of ebay and see if I can find another one.
But if none of this works I will have to pay twice the price to the shop.
    Bum-de-bum.
OH however is happy for me to go ahead and order it. (I think he thinks we're rich) he says if it's the one I want and I'm happy with it then that's fine by him awww.
Unless anyone has an Alfred Angelo 1136 just laying around in their spare room? ;-)

  • awww i was really hoping she would have sold it to you (hugs) can only see a 14 on ebay for £480(or an 18/22) odds but i think you said you were smaller. My fingers are crossed that you get one for a good price

Have you tried looking for Maggie Sottero Michelle? It's pretty much the same dress as the Alfred Angelo, except its got a straighter neck line. Also look for Maggie's Adelaide (my dress shhhhhh dont tell OH) its quite similar except for the back has a little more detail.

    Hope that helps!
