Unless im wrong we Don't have true Democracy anyway,Governements are voted in by a Minority of the electorate.
No, we have true democracy - parliaments are voted in by the whole of those voting. Those abstaining have no cause to complain about whatever the result might be.0 -
The only problem with that mbga is thats what he's counting on.He wants more Muslims joining his extremists ......
What it really needs is the Muslim community to march In London against him because as a community they always seem strangley silent0 -
Just ban it, end of, it has the hallmarks of those bowler hatted drumboys trying to march provocatively through Catholic parts of Belfast.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

We have MOBO (music of black origin awards)
We can't have MOWO because thats racist.
All forms of the Fire service, Police service and the Ambulance service ALL promote "Positive" Discrimination. We MUST have a certain % of employees from Ethnic minorites its totally wrong ,people should be employed on their ability alone NOT colour or race.
What I say above is FACT and not hearesay.A good friend of mine phoned the London fire service to see if they were recruiting when he gave his name (Smith)he was told they weren't but when he rang back and said his name was Persad they said they were.......
I accept people of any colour and nationality and treat people how I wish to be treated.
.
I've been in a situation where there has been positive discrimination. It's one of the few countries in the world where you're racially profiled for EVERYTHING. Places at universities are not open, they are based on racial quotas, so are public service jobs as well as business and enterprise laws..
The racial quota is government policy to distribute wealth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysian_New_Economic_Policy)
It's definitely not anywhere anything like that here. People are judged on merit and achievement and if anything it has been shown that ethnic minorities are still discriminate against (http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2009/oct/18/racism-discrimination-employment-undercover)0 -

Cods wallop, if thats the case Put an EXTRA BOX on the ballot paper "None of the above", make voting compulsory and then see who votes for your mob or the Tories.
People don't vote because 1: Dismayed with the parties 2: Can't be ar8ed to vote........
What percentage of the population entitled to vote actually voted for Nu-Labour Liz ??? 10%? Democracy? Noooooo0 -
Plus in first past the post, governments are elected by a minority of those voting.
But I'm leaving that discussion before I find out I'm a closet Liberal.
One of the interesting bits of democracy though is that governments and by extension economic policy is determined by people you would barely trust to take your dog for a walk. Time to impose a minimum level of qualifications for a vote I fancy.0 -

MBGA, no-one wants the march to go ahead, it's dumb and confrontational. It's designed to elicit exactly the sort of reaction you've had and to stir up conflict. Nick Griffin is adept at doing precisely the same sort of thing for the same reasons.
That said, you can't just jump on someone because you disagree with them, and there is an insidious message which will resonate with this guy's constituency of young people on the point of radicalism which has elements of truth within it. Because it's very easy to make the argument I made, which is that we care not at all about the innocent victims of this war, yet lionise those occupying their countries. The mad mullah is not trying to win our hearts and minds, the best way to combat him is to ignore what he does and counter his arguments with logic and reason.0 -

Well they kind of do. As there is no "none of the above" box.
I do agree with what you are saying though. But I know from reading that some people feel no party deserves their vote, or are worried that if they also take the action of voting for a minor party, that minor party may just get somewhere.0
