Spoke (or typed) too soon when I said delivery was easily re-arranged. Have just gone into "My Orders" and the guide price which was £83 for the cancelled delivery is now showing as £144 for identical items to be delivered on Saturday. What on earth is that about?

I just got mine delivered with NO paperwork  big shop (not panic buying).I think i am going to give up shopping with Tesco nearly everytime we have issues
  • They rang you, count yourself lucky in that respect as mine was supposed to be delivered between 3 & 5 ... still not arrived, no phonecall, no nothing & waiting time on phone is 20mins. Have sent them an email & am praying they havent taken the money out otherwise I'm in trouble :(

I know they took the money for our cancelled order, and will have to refund it (which takes three days). I also ended up having to take a more expensive delivery slot. I understand that they couldn't get to our village as we are cut off, but they must have known this before they took the payment, and I do think they could have honoured the original delivery charge.

My order could not be delivered on Tuesday night due to hazardous road conditions. The driver sounded relieved when I told him I understood perfectly.

Rang Tesco yesterday, yes the lines were busy but I figured they were probably having a horrible time with stroppy customers. I was very polite and the girl rescheduled for Saturday night. I ensured it would still be at the cheaper delivery.

It is a pain, but let's face it - this snow is nobody's fault except Mother Nature and who is big enough to take her on.

Just hope it can get here on SAturday as we are getting pretty low on supplies.

  • No money was taken from my account (phew).

Rang this morning with the thought of just wanting it redelivered at somepoint this week along with any delivery fee waivered.

Like Larmy I was polite, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar and its unlikely that the person I got on the phone would be exactly the same person who was supposed to ring me to say my order was cancelled.

Only delivery slots free were on Sunday so was given £20 worth vouchers to cover my inconvenience and delivery fee:T.

Chose a morning delivery on Sunday so if they cant get through I can nip to the shops to get supplies.

  • We were due a delivery on tuesday 5th between 6-8pm. Had a call from a pleasant Tesco lady who was very apologetic and advised they couldn't get order to us. She offered to re-schedule so agreed and have booked for this friday between 5-7pm (not hopeful as snow/ice still bad today)..

Had e-mail later in the day apologising for cancelling tuesday/re-scheduling and have given us code for £10 off our next order. :T

We weren't surprised it got cancelled as happened just before christmas and it is worse here now - then dh went to pick it u from store instead (he wasn't happy as snow was bad here but he returned safely with shopping). Tesco gave us on-line voucher code for £20 off our next on-line shop. :j

Really surprised at lack of service pps have experienced. Surely they should treat all of their customers the same and offer same gesture of recompense

Our neighbour had a successful Ocado delivery last night so don't really understand why they can deliver and tesco can't. Suppose it depends on what they deem as safe driving conditions for their staff....

Suggest pps contact Tesco customer services to seek recompense for their cancellations.

Our milkman managed to get here this morning - no idea how. But he might as well not have bothered as when I picked up the bottles they had broken as the milk had frozen.
Oh well, looks like another dinner in the village pub tonight. I could get used to not having to cook ;)
