That Precious gift set on Amazon has gone up in price so I found it the cheapest here at the Funky Group: http://www.thefunkygroup.co.uk/cat-3-subcat-70-product-1527

    Hi moneysavers,

I have a pair of GHD's that my sister gave to me so I don't have a receipt, although I do have the original box. They have developed a fault and the wire seems to have come loose at the back and the light flashes constantly (not sure if it is supposed to). I'm worried that they may be dangerous so I have wound electrical tape around the base.
I noticed near the begining of this thread that somebody said they didn't have the receipt but they sent their GHD's back to the return address with a covereing letter and they got a replacement! Does anybody know if GHD still do this? I would like to return them but I don't want to send my faulty ones anywhere if that means I won't get them (or a replacement) back!!!

    Thanks for your help folks.

I guess the best thing would be to email them and ask.

It might be a good idea to get them from QVC - then you have a 30 day money back guaratee too

there aren't many on the site at the moment, but keep checking and they often have limited edition offer (got my second set of slim ones from there and had a problem with them initially, so they replaced them).
  • You should call GHD before you buy another one. They might just send you a replacement. But make sure it's not physical damaged.

Please do not use this website, I ordered items, they took the money and the item was detained by UK border agency I had to sign a Forfeiture agreement!

How did you know they were detained by the UK border?
I ordered a pair last week and they still havnt arrived and im unable to track them on either of the websites they have provided
Ive emailed them but no reply either =[
I guess ive jst lost £70

Is there a way we can get them put on the GHD website so others do not exp the same?

    Hi Everyone :)

Has anyone used or know anyone else who has used GHDSpares.com to recycle their old GHDs?

I'm not overly bothered about getting them fixed, they were more than 4 years old when they broke in May.
I replaced them almost immediately with a pair of the Gorgeous Purple Limited Edition GHDs as a birthday present to myself :D

But anyway, I now have the old ones just hanging around, so I was looking at selling them on for parts... I found http://www.ghdspares.com/offer.htm that give you £20 for old and faulty GHDs.

They're not in bad condition to be honest, they've just developed a faulty connection where the wire connects with the Irons themselves. Quite a common problem from what I have heard.
Anyway, if anyone has any experience of using the website then I'd love to hear from you, or if anyone else has used anywhere else more recently then I'd be greatful of the advice.

    Cheers :)
    Amy
