You can buy them cheap but be careful because I got fake ones!
Check out this link on the GHD site: website-checker.ghdhair.com/coutnerfeit
They'll check to make sure that the website sells the real GHD!
Best of luck!0 -

Just in case you don't know much about Ebay.
1. Make sure the seller is British based.
2. Check for excellent feedback.
Argos Ebay clearance shop has nothing available at the moment.

My purple limited edition GHD's have suddenly "developed" a loose plate. We bought it online from a verified GHD seller, and they are definitely genuine.
They were bought last Year in January (2009)
What are my rights, and what should we do, who should we contact?
Also, if we send the GHDs to GHD, and they refuse to repair, will they just send it back to us.
I have no clue what to do, please help.
The GHDs are always stored in their case and the case is always placed back in the supplied box.
I would greatly appreciate any help!0 -

They'd be out of warrenty- not sure your covered for anything, did you pay with a credit card? not sure if they have any rules that could help you but maybe worth asking.
Otherwise know there are places on ebay that will fix them for you for around £200 -

why would they be out of warranty?
Warrnety for an electrical item is 1 year. You bought these over a year ago. Unless the company you bought them from offer a different warrenty? (ie John Lewis offers 2 years warrenty on anything electrical from their store, Comet which sells the same items offer only a 1 year warrenty on electrics as do most companies).
If it is still in warrenty just contact the company you bought it from and they should exchange it but inless said otherwise, warrenty is 12 months.0 -

I am pretty sure that GHDs come with a 2 year warranty.
I bought it from a genuine online retailer, however, I received no invoice and never thought to request one at the time.
Could I request one now do you think?0
