GHD Mk IV Straighteners for £94.99 with free next day delivery!!!

Good deal? Mine broke this morning :-(
  • Hi there.oh what i nightmare I am having! Dont you just hate it when your hair straighters stop working! oh dear I fear im going to have to go to work with a hat on until I get sorted hahaha. Ive never had GHDs but have always fancied some and nows the time i think to use this as an excuse to treat myself. Thing is, times of the essence, I cant possibly live without any straighters and cant go to work looking like wurzel gummage for many days! lolol. After coming on here and doing a little research with the official ghd website (oh my god, i didnt realise there were so many fakers out there!)) this the uk hairdressers site is recomended as being a genuine retailer, and i saw these at £94 including postage, which seem reasonable http://www.ukhairdressers.com/store/details.asp?ID=ghdIVstraightener any thoughts or advice on these particular straighters? as I said ive never had ghd's so dont know the best ones to go for. Im planning to order these on thursday (for next day delivery) unless anyone has anything negative to say, in which case I will have a rethink. any thoughts would be gratefully recieved. many thanks xx
    With love, POSR <3

I bought a hairdryer from UK hairdressers and that was delivered fine. GHD's are great, I wouldn't use anything else

But Salon Skincare are cheaper @ £89.95 with free P&P (plus you can get 6% cashback if you have a Quidco account)

This is an approved site on the GHD checker

It might be worth checking out Ebay first - NOT for new ones but there's someone on there who fixes GHD's or gives you your money back. My sister has just used them and they fixed hers

I haven't bought them but being in London, quite a few stores and salons sell them and display them in the window or on stands instore.

I took one look at them and thought "no way!" They just look so bright! Sleek, yes, elegant, yes, but you'd give yourself a headache with these as they are just too bright.:D

Similar to some of the others in this thread, just reporting my appauling experience with Girlznight.co.uk

Purchased GHD straighteners on 7th June, money taken 8th June, item did not arrive after 10 days (they claim 8 days), I chased and was told "it will be with you any day now". Chased again on the 21st June and got told that it was "damaged in transit". Asked for a refund and today have had to chase (email again!) for the refund.

Also 0800 number never has anyone attending it personally, email seemed only mean of communication.

The straighteners were for my wife's birthday, I'll have to get them from somewhere else, and short of going direct to GHD, Amazon seems only other good option.

I got them from here http://www.lookfantastic.com/hair/ghd-haircare/irons/ghd-iv-styler-plus-paul-mitchell-seal-and-shine-and-free-pink-heat-mat-travel-pouch.html, they are authorised dealers and I received mine the day after I ordered it, they are on Quidco too :)

Had a bad experience with Girlznight too... took over 14 days to deliver and after several phone calls. Had them for two weeks when they started 'sparking' with an electrical fault. Registered fault on GHD's site and sent them back to GHD direct. Got a replacement 6 days later - was well impressed !!!
