It will get better but it takes time

There will be good days and bad ones - Try not to be too disheartened on the bad ones.

There is hope and light at the end of the tunnel.

You are all wonderful compassionate people :A and have a lot to offer. Please take heart in this.

We have come a long way. It's very scary, I just don't get to know people, but lately women have been all over me :rotfl:

I will look after me, but i'm determined! She gives me confidence, i'm even considering getting a Christmas job, to get out, get some more money and meet more people! Because when it works, it's great!!!!

It's scary, but I have an excitement i've not had for so long, and I want it to continue!

I'm off to bed, up at 6am, preparing for builders!

    Take Care Saz and all

Early starts - I am allergic to them:D

People cannot see their own strengths - I can see you have developed in leaps and bounds over the last few weeks. It takes time.

It is a good idea to get a job, it does help.

Good luck with those neatherdal (sp) builders

yeah.. you're right.. I'm tired of having these big conversations with him about both our needs and thinking we've made progress only to find he's forgotten all about it a few hours later. I dont think things are ever going to change.. and I really can't be bothered with it all anymore.. as far as I'm concerned he's become one more item on my list of stress creators and he's one that I can do without so that's what I'm going to do.. just the getting him to realise that is the problem now, lol
    Sorry to be so negative

He isn't going to change sweetie

    He doesn't want to

You have us all to support you whatever you decide to do

    I don't do either, it's food that's my 'sin'

I know i've done nothing wrong. I've been told that most women wouldn't believe their luck, but sadly, I pick the troubled souls :o
They think they are such sex bombs:D :D

Oooh, so is my sin, food, too:eek:

Now pass me another slice of whipped cream gateau and hang the calories - I need calming down

The guy just came, and all he did was take a photo of the washing machine (that broke yesterday) and had a quick look out the window. He didn't look in any other rooms or upstairs. ITs suppose to be a long, proper inspection lol - but I prefer it this way! The inspections are good for something, even though I am rather ill, I have to get the house looking alright atleast once every 4 months.
Mmmm tall, porky miro :D I wouldn't be too opposed to that!! I am sure you are a very handsome man miro - you are a wonderful bloke, and that shows through.
Someone in real life will see the real you and appreciate how special you are one day Miro - I know that. Guys like you don't come along all that often, and any woman would be very lucky to have you.
I've wondered if it is seasonal affective disorder, but I don't know if it is. This bout, and the last bout followed the pattern of it, but pervious bouts didn't. Looking back through old posts and emails, my last bout lasted from september to april, and this once started about early july, so shouldn't be too long to go.
    xx

They always look out of the window when they do inspections - I find that really odd:confused:

Perhaps he has a fetish about washing machines:D. Are you having to handwash or soak the washing in the bath - how very OS:eek:

We had a very good use for our posser when we didn't have a washing machine. Very invigorating.

Tis the season for SAD as well as Christmas so depression can be worsened. Funnily enough if I am depressed in the summer, I enjoy the winter and vice versa. I am definetely two people according to the season. My needs change too.

Moving might help, but it might not. I hated where I grew up - walking down the street I'd see the people who made my life hell. Every day I had to walk past the spot I was raped.
Firstly, I moved 30 miles away, but it was still too near. So, next time I moved, I moved 250 miles away. It didn't solve the depression, but at least I can be me here. I shall be moving on again soon - I've yet to find home. This is as near as I've got. I'm still very isolated, and I still struggle to meet people, but I know a few aquantances that if I pass in the street I can say hello to. Once day, I'll get somewhere I can make friends. Its quiet and small here, and for various reasons, I can't join clubs or anything. I think, if I could get to meet enough people, I'll get some ffreinds. My mum says to just talk to anyone and everyone when you move somewhere new - 9 out of 10 with reject you, but 1 in 10 could well become good friends :) My mums closest freind, a freind of 15 years, she met in the street, and got talking to.
I'm rambling, I'm a bit spaced out at the moment sorry. Hope some of that made sense?

I spent 20 years in a county I didn't like. I moved up here 14 years ago and it was so good to get away!

I find that despite the size of the UK, you don't have to go very far to get a very different atmosphere from people. I don't change, so it must be them. Some areas are so much friendlier than others. If I spoke to anyone in Oxfordshire, I would was ostracised, whereas, in Wiltshire or any other county, they responded nicely. The worst place for people not being friendly is Little Chalfont. I used to travel around the south for my work and found it staggering how people changed from county to county.

I can give you an example of how friendly (or not) counties are in the south.

We had a short honeymoon in Bournemouth when we first got married - we were so poor. Someone put an L plate on our car that said - 'just married give us a hoot'. We married in Oxford. We got no hoots in Oxfordshire, a couple in Berkshire, a few more in Hampshire and every other person in Bournemouth.

I first went up north in the late 70s, it sounds odd saying that, as it is so far south for me now:D and people were so friendly compared to Oxford.

I find people in Edinburgh very different to people in Oxfordshire (apart from the English/Scottishness). Edinburgh people rarely speak first but are fine if you talk to them, they are quite reserved but not rude. They are much more courteous too, people are so much more apologetic up here. You could run naked down Princes Street and no-one would care, in Oxford you get stared at for wearing a shade brigher than black. Glasgow people tend to talk to you and I find that great.

I have difficulty keeping friends. I can make them but my mood swings and coping with my husband being odd brought me down, so couldn't put the energy into it. I really needed someone understanding but alas I resigned myself to enjoying my own company. So whilst I prefer Edinburgh to Oxford, I still find it hard to make friends.

    Cold Turkey?

Why am I getting that this is not as straightforward sounding as it seems

Why would he give up cold turkey? :rotfl:

I've heard the term used in saying someone is a cold person.......

    Totally confuzzled me :rotfl:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_turkey

It is an expression used for someone giving up an addiction suddenly without any aid or help.

I admire anyone who can give up an addiction. I am as weak as water.
